The new ones are hatchback, but i'm sure the old ones only ever had the drop down boot?
I'll ask my mate who i work with, in his youth he was a mini boy, had it all souped up and spent all hours tinkering with it

Or you can have a look at my Mini Works GP that i sold last year........

Thats got a hatchback

How much did you manage to get for it?

I'd love a mini again. My first car was an old mini, and it was the most fun to drive in the world.

Mini Clubman Estate.

Dams - if you are serious then drop me a line. Minis are now being priced quite highly due to the number of people wanting good examples or restoration projects... there are alot of things to watch out for if you are buying one, and also you will need to be very patient to get a good one.... I can give you some pointers if wanted ;)

Hee Hee, that is mental, looks like a wicked circiut too

It's Cadwell Park, the full length course... I actually drove my old mini there when I was a student and was flat out trying to get up the hill in places where that guy is shifting down to third :(

Edit: nerf folks posting then deleting their posts :)

There was a few hatchback old mini's made, but by the specialist coachwork firms, I think, although my memory is hazy on this that one of Peter Sellars mini's had a hatchback done by Radford coachworks.

Heh, I was quite into Mini's in my late teens, fantastic little cars, and in those days they didn't cost a fortune to buy. Mine was stripped, caged, buckets, harnesses, extinguisher, engine and brake mods etc. Handled about as well as my Elise does now, just a little slower in a straight line is all. I'm not entirely sure how I survived that period of my life as most of it was spent driving sideways on public roads. Remember kids, it's not big and it's not clever.

I have my mini, Nala, on my drive awaiting some bodywork repairs and her 1310 engine... so what if it's not big or clever... when she's done I'll love it :D :flame:

Not big or clever, just makes you cool as fuck! I'd love to be knocking about in a mini aswell tbh, especially an older one. No chance in hell could I afford a newer one :p

My missus has her Mini Mayfair (1300cc engine with walnut dash) on the drive, she goes everywhere in it! She gets really annoyed when they call the new Mini (better known as a 'Bini' in the old Mini circles lol) estate a "Clubman", when the original Clubman actually had a different front end (as per photo posted in here) lol :D

Someone's selling an old mini in Canterbury for £900. If only I was feeling flush :(

Does anyone here want a genuine old 1960's handbook for a mini cooper and some other models I can't remember? Its tatty as all hell but readable and useful I suppose if you're restoring or running an old mini.
