Old DOS game i need the name of!

I guess alot of you OT people probably also played DOS games in your younger days so you might be able to help me with a name of a game here

Made this ugly paint drawing to help me explain the gameplay in it. It's sorta arcade game i think.. Well, i'll let the painting explaing for me:

The spaceship is supposed to 'trap' a certain percentage of the total area this limiting the area at wich the spacemonsters can roam, and then making it even harder to encase more area for the spaceship. The spaceship can enter the area by pressing space and moving around with the arrow keys. If a spacemonster floats in on the line, the spaceship dies.

Simple game, but very very fun and challenging

Hope any of you can remember the name.

aye I remember it on my samsung phone as well it was an A800 it involved a fighter jet thing though instead of a spaceship I've got the phone but I cant find the charger to start it up.

Yup, remember it. There were various versions of it... also one with a spider and one with a simple blob... 't was a fun game. will try to find it but same as the others, can't recall the name of it

Yay!! I found it!!!

Known as Hamster Box on the Samsung and Erix on the Sony Ericsson it was Qix in the Arcade!!

Squix was a version of it on the mac I used to play.

There are a number of variations of the theme... with paintbrushes etc.etc. but I think Quix is the original.
