old dog rail gun help please

ok going to the
scottish computer games thing in perth
q3a 1 on 1
i can play q3 ctf ok but have not got
any idea how to use the rail gun using the zoom. as of sunday i will be reconfigering all my setting. as it's a bit late now to change..................
so any good links to configs (key set ups)would be good
have also stopped playing on the net, just playing on my own machine as this means no lag as it's closer to lan play - back on net sunday.
please note i will get my ferking but kicked.

Yeah, forgot all about that show. It'll be more than just PC games though, not as focussed as a LAN PArty.

Take it's happening on 29th?

One tip is to play instagib with the bots.

Yes, but the point was that he'll be playing on a LAN anyway.

He's already playing offline as it is in order to rail in LAN game. So using Instagib mod should help

good fun - hard work
all matches are 3 maps long.
q3at2 , q3at4 and q3adm6.
q3at2 kicked some butt, big time - np,
the other maps, that's another story.
i was most suprised at just much
work is required, playing 1 on 1, not using
your own computer in your own house and
sober to ?.
700 mhz machines in fact are being used,
the final is on sunday at about 12.00,
geforce 2 and other stuff for the winner.
i may go up and watch.
also i did learn a thing or 2 or 6000 ,
ta m8s.
lan party next with loads of beer,
but if i ping at 290 at home and have to drink loads to match my alcohol ml to blood thing , so i can play half way decent , what if i ping at say 20 how much can i drink. lol .

welp all i can say to help your rail zoom thing is set it to a key that has easy access like i did i set my zoom to my spacebar but im a good aimer i dont need zoom anymore its all about practiceing with the rail gun the only way you will get good is by playing alot hope this helps

yes i know this is high
but for ctf it's spot on, and for close rocket stuff it works.
playing with bots - did i say i hate bots-
on q3at4 if you can get the zoom working
with the rail gun , how could you miss a bot all the way at the other end of the map.
am trying a new config now, but my timing
and fingers are all over the place.
even rocket jumps are hard offline.
will try it for a day or 2.

Practise yer RocketJumps on RA3, no damage.

Put it this way , in RA3 you'll end up using RJ's during battles. Some maps like the Castle are great fun for RJ's form turret to turret and onto the Castle roof's. Once you get there tho, dont stay still or you get railed

I've got 2x24 Netgear ones here, problem is theyre gonna be used for a month. Shame cos they'd not been used for months.
