i'll be off soon, going on my Grand Adventure to University!


leaving tomorrow morning, as you'd imagine everything is organised (lol) i got packed on monday and drew up an inventory so i know what im taking and wont leave anything vital behind, Pookie is going off to the pet hotel this evening and my train leaves at quater to nine in the AM.

I shall try and pop in to see you through the week but i may be a bit busy, so just incase anything really exciting happens can someone keep a track of the threads for me and inform me of anything important (lol) not just stuff like azarus took a shit on his land ladies chuhuha or Chodax was caught rogering a 3 year old without protection of a nappy, i expect nothing less!

i'll be back in about a week... hopefully my glasses will be ready by then too (woo!!!!) anyhoo take care kiddiewinks,

i may possibly be back this evening depending on whether or not i actually do manage to spontaniously combust.

anyhoo im taking library and information studies...week long summer school for 3 years the rest is learning online, have no intention of socialising so packed my mini tv/dvd player and plenty to keep me away from rl people *shudder* but it should be fun anyway, i'm considering not washing while there just to make sure no one tries to "befriend" me, failing that i have mace.

just received a post card from ez whos currently in aberystwyth. looks like a nice little place from the picture on the front.
she says the town and campus is beautiful but she has to climb a "bloody fierce" hill to to the uni. the weather is also nice.

and heres some info off the postcard

hay cheers tris wow that was fast i only posted it yesterday!

Ive got about 30 mins till my next lecture (hehehe lecture..me! ha!) so thought id nip on here and see how things are going, as Tris says the place is lovely and i heard that there were dolphins playing about in the bay last night, i missed that rofl but i have seen lots of Red Kites (google them...the bird btw not like a kite kite with a bit of string and a pic of super ted on it).

I have tried to socialise but man it sure is hard! though i made sure i speak to the people on the course i sit on my own at meals and disappear off to do my own thing at the end of the day rather than go to the pub...but there is supposed to be a nature walk this evening which i will go on (though we've had rain showers today so whether its still on or not i dont know!).

Had to give a small (very small lol) presentation this morning and I bit the bullet and volunteered to be the speaker, i stopped shaking about 40 mins later and it seemed to go down well, i made everyone laugh so i think thats good.

I went swimming yesterday but I need a float to swim or i sink head first and had to borrow one from the sports centre but they said its a one off as they belong to the swimming club and theyre miserable buggers who dont like to share, so ill go to the SU shop this arvo and see if they have any for sale.... also planning to get me my very own Aber Uni sweater (woo!). Bloody glad I brought that little tv/dvd player its great and for some reason i seem to be waking up at like 4am so at least i can watch X Men 'toons.

We've got a social dinner tomorrow which im mildly shitting myself over as i will be forced to sit and eat with people so hopefully i will survive that and then friday i can return to my life of hermetic nerdiness.

well i guess thats about the size of it, it all seems to be going well and at least now i know about course structure and the modules i'll be doing which is more than i knew a week ago.

helloo everyone did you miss me? i missed you...but i'll improve my aim next time (yukyukyuk). Had an awesome time, the social dinner was really good (I went and stayed but did leg it as soon as they wrapped it up at about 9:30 lol) feeling confident about my course and ready and raring to go...though im trying to hook up to the uni VPN and thats going about as well as the time i thought i could skateboard (i.e. down hill fast and no control..or skill)

anyhoo tis all good, got me uni sweat shirt and ball cap (woo!) and my arse has just about un-numbed its self from the 7hr train journey yesterday, ooh and while doing a spot of shopping in ASDA this morning i found a swimming float for £3... ok so its got the graphics from Disneys Cars on it but meh, who cares as long as it keeps me up (ha said the bishop to the actress)

well im off for a lay down now just thought id nip in and say Helloooo™
