I went to the bit on the website where it said copy this to post the image, copied it...pasted in the bit that looks like a little mountain that says insert images and failed spectacularly miserably!!!

explaining it as one would do so for dummies would be preferable

Or, copy a link like http://healthlinks.washington.edu/howto/navigating/url.gif and then press the little mountain, then paste the link into the pop-up box.

In your case, you should've jut pasted http://icanhascheezburger.wordpress.com/files/2009/08/funny-pictures-turtle-escapes-slowly.jpg into the pop-up box.

I always use ImageShack® - Image Hosting .. Allows you to easily upload pictures from your computer

Browse -> find picture -> start upload -> uncheck "include details" -> copy the first link called 'Hotlink for forums (1) -> post on FH

While I've made this guide, I've also uploaded a picture.. Thank you imageshack!

Right Click on the Picture select Copy Image Location. In a new Post lick the little picture button yellow square grey triangle. Delete what's in there and right click paste. Jobs a goodun.

lol sorry I just couldnt help myself, on a serious note though my pc has a 300 yr old version of IE on it and I cant get a new one because i dont think it is legal so i am stuck with all this antiquated shit and have to do inventive stuff with bits of string and paper clips just to be able to perform basic tasks
