Every person whos a shade and pissed off about not getting groups - all meet up at all the Portal Keeps in the server and constantly pull guards on the teams of Hibernian RvR's

Sounds liek a good way to get our message accross that we want groups.

We could go on strike but who would notice?

Just a thought - and 2bh i must be feelign pissed of coz i considered trying to pay for a group now!

FFS this game sucks

Flame Away - u know u want to.

Nero - usually kind - but now pissed off.

1 day 2hrs since ive had my char restored and the only group ive had is 1 with a enchanter and another shade killing yellows. Thanx Ryo and Aeiedel
and im on a whopping 2-3%

Nightshades rule!

Try being a bard in RvR. At least half the trips I go on from Ligen to the Alb wall end with people leaving the group to join a group they were previously in. Talk about being used!

Maybe it's time to start charging a 20g taxi fare.:(

(Those of you who think I'm serious, obviously don't know me)

Goddamn whiner. There is a level50 NS now, that im sure has leveled faster then many other people who started at the same time as him. It just requires a bit more work then for most other classes, but if you had done your research you had KNOWN this before you started a shade. A class that is considered less groupfriendly will always have a harder time to get a group, that is just so obvious and natural. Feel free to blame mythic for not making your class attractive for groups, but don't try to blame it on us other players. We have not done anything wrong  .

1day 2hours you have waited for group.... awwww... so sad. My enchanter waited for 2 weeks to get group... and its considered at least somehow groupfriendly :p

Nero, do you really think that ruining other people's RvR experience is going to help you get into more groups? You'll have even less chance of getting one because people will just see you as the guy who keeps pulling PK guards on to them.

Rhino is right. Your guildies should be helping you level. The whole idea behind a guild is to help each other out, not just look out for yourselves.

And incidentally, I'm a firm supporter of the "Support a NightShade" program and will continue to be until I stop XPing.

Yeah after 100 levels in hib I got 'kinda' bored :) It's also nice being on the other end of the stick handing out asses instead of getting it handed to me :p

Anyone who dares to say minstrels aren't overpowered should try to play some other classes. :D

This may sound obvious right... but all you shades looking for groups, you are hanging about the places where XP groups form (like Innis for instance) with LFG on yes?

I'm a bard and I often have to hang around for a while LFG tagged before getting into a group, patience is a virtue. I have to admit that I very rarely see shades tagged LFG hanging about... when I do I try and get them into a group I'm in if there's slots etc etc, but it is rare to see them.

A class that is considered less groupfriendly

we can group well given a chance

when i craft i have lfg on, and atm i craft in innis, which i would consider a centre of grouping for my level, however i usually spend a while getting bored waiting while crafting, and so head to crauchon to craft, or emain\yggdra to hunt

about the initial post, if it was a joke i personally didnt think it was funny, and if it was serious well I dont think you will make any friends with silly actions like that.

this is what commonly happens to nightshades:

- look for group, message some people, get told current groups 40+ are full
- decide to go to emain and solo for a bit, get cheered up as you one shot a few mages, or scare people from stealth, generally have fun
- die in emain to some higher cons and have to release, ur a bit pissed off now
- at bindstone realise you haven't gained a mm of xp in the time you were in emain. Message the same group leaders and get told again groups are full etc
- get very pissed off and cant be bothered to go back to emain
- log out / rant

this is what a Hero does before he gets to 50:

- look for group, message people, get on waiting lists, wait, maybe organise own group
- wait
- ask more
- eventually get a group sooner or later and stick in the group

shades function extremely well in solo RvR, even so far as saying solo RvR with a shade is :uhoh: FUN. Solo RvR with a Hero is not viable, fun, or otherwise. A hero cannot survive solo, this is WHY we always have groups. hence you tend find heros in groups, and nightshades solo. the same can be said for any class without speed, and/or a form of crowd control, and/or the ability to do very high damagein a short time.

and also, i have no sympathy for people who won't make their own group, won't take the initiative. i did it for most of my levels, and cant understand why others don't. it isnt hard to do /who bard or /who 40 and find people to group with.

Pity that the level 50 shade ditched his guild because we didn't power level him as quick as he would have liked ;)

It is hard 2 get groups when U R higher lvls however being flagged and hunting in popular EXP spots should help. I always welcome NSs and rangers in my groups.

All I can say is that sometimes it is gonna be a pain getting a group (especially when U R the highest in UR guild online.) last nite I didn't get any groups with my lvl 30 Eld but I did a good bit of exploring and found some nice EXP places for my alts. lol

like a wee bit past Drum Ligen there is a stone circle with HUGE firblogs type critters at it.. I am gonna have 2 hunt there. :) it was deserted.. DOH! Let my secret out of the bag. :)

No use replying anymore, Nero deleted daoc :(

Alot of people close Nero's level in our guild have given up, or moved onto the USA servers sadly.

I didn't say you are useless in groups. But you are less useful. Just accept it, its a fact, 2000 heroes, druids, wardens etc can't be wrong. It's funny, when one of these higher level shades make their own group to some good exp area, do they normally invite several shades/rangers to group? No. They normally get hero, warden, pbaemage, manabattery etc just like anybody else.

Hows silent death doing ? Your a stalker only guild ?.

Toyed with the idea of a shade only guild to see if it would work, as we all suffer from the same problems so we could make parties of just shades at the very worst and at least not have to solo even if we couldn't get support classes to group with us.

I as a nightshade am completely fed up with these pointless flamefests regarding stalker classes and groups. Quit posting this crap and go find a group :p

Oh, so when you try to explain your problem (and there IS a problem that needs to be pointed out AGAIN) all of a sudden your a bad apple ?

riiiight....
If people wouldn't lie to shades about grouping and waiting list and give them A CHANCE then they would see how well they can group when given the opportunity

Well in my old guild I suggested a 8 char scout team of 4x Rangers, 2x Shades, 2x Bards, this was actually shot down in flames as basically being a waste of bards, not by bards I might add :)

That is the attitude stealthers have to live with.

Maybe all the rangers, shades and bards should make one big guild and say to hell with the rest of you, watch the attitudes change then when Hibernia was defended by egoistic heroes and gimped wardens, druids.

that group would suffer a lot of deaths imo

presumably the ranger would tank? and how exactly will a ranger tank a purple mob with only secondary healers (bards) to heal him? also rangers have slow draw times when compared to shades hits- sometimes a shade would get big aggro at the start and 2 bards jsut couldnt save him.

if you took out 2 rangers, and put in a shield tank (who has to taunt to keep aggro off the shades), and a druid, then you have a good group which incorporates 2 shades and 2 rangers
