Ok, I'm bored today

OK whine time, I know the game is built round Albion, and us Hibs 'n' Mids are the invaders,
but..how come we have to run through trees with loads of cover for the enemy to get to central keep, while the Albs can practically see their bridge from their TK.
The difference between the landscape for the Albs and the Mids'n' Hibs outside their TK's is huge.

Who do you think has the advantage cos of this, I 'm not so sure?

Although the road to the central keep from the middies is quite long, they definately have the advantage, straight along the road, straight over the bridge, straight to the doors of the keep.

This seems to make access much easier, to get to the doors you don't have to make your way round the keep, with all the archers and defenders killing u on route ;)

Still I'm sure everyone has their own opinion on this, I think it just makes it different for each realm. In the other BG's I assume that there are the other 2 types of keep each facing the appropriate realms tk.

I personally wish the albs had more trees etc outside their keeps because all the open ground limits your options soo much.

Yes while you may see the Albion landscape as open, i see this as bad, very little cover for anyone to try and stay hidden our bridge is extremely close to hibs and faces a wall from where ranged attacks are excellent.

Mids have the best landscape by far, which is why the fights are always at mid bridge or around that area.

Albs have the safest TK when it comes to avoiding stealthers, no doubt. It's also the safest TK for avoiding non-stealthers. I'll explain why.

The openess means it's difficult for a stealthed attacker to predict what route an alb will take to get to CK or this or that bridge. If the stealther out in the field makes even just a slightly incorrect guess, he will never be able to catch up with a running alb while still under stealth.

As for non-stealthed campers, they are immediately visible to the newly arrived albs. The albs can then decide for themselves whether it's a good idea to get out there and face them or not.

There's of course nothing saying that a mid or hib player couldn't take any route towards bridge etc, it's just that people tend to follow the road and they do so for a reason. Getting up in the hills among the trees is, all else equal, more risky than staying in the open where you can see enemies from a distance.

Rofl @ albs :D

Hmmm I've just recently deleted my evul 24 LW elven champ Khadgar... I was never bored persuading reckless albs fleeing from the harsh blows of my mighty whammer :]

However the reason why I deleted was simple; never enough hibbies in thid to push back the tk campers. Only NS's seem to have a real shot at killing somebody, as they can bypass the tk campers without being seen, sticked and styled to death :O

I've had great fun tho chasing four ylow and blue albs all the way tho thid faste, bashing one and getting another to 20% before they reached a red con guard. Boy I felt newbish having these now three uber albs laugh at me, as they almost killed me on their own, just 3v1 and with only a little help from a red con guard!

Bah, all I want to say is: thanks to all the thid albs ive beckoned at for a 1on1, only to see them laugh at me and run for reinforcements, and all the great times spent being laughed at by the uber albs ganking me 5 vs 1. Weirdest experience ever? An alb actually saluted me in stead of laughing at me while I was lying dead on the bridge. Weird. Go albs, you rock!

Not like the cowardly mids who turn and fight when you attack them!

Khadgar Fiendslayer,
has-been thid elf lw champ
ganked over and over by uber albs
never being outnumbered too much

Lol, sometimes its good though, you know you dont have to look for too long before you find an enemy (ie just out of range of our TK guards). Does get a bit tiresome though, making your way in a full group of hibbies, positioning yourself tactically ready to take on whatever dares to attack you... Only to get trampled inadvertently in the mid/alb crossfire
