OK I got steam wtf is this free month business?

Whilst doing the install steam business it says yeah you got cd key from halflife platinum edition and you are entitled to a free month playing these games: tfc CS dod etc

WTF free month?
am i supposed to pay to play hl mods in a months time?

If you read it a 2nd time it makes sense.

It says something along the lines of you are entitled to a free monthly subscription to the following games.

As in, you pay nothing monthly, end of story.


Valve cant charge extra for those games, it would surely break some laws or consumer rights or something.
