Communications Direct

Is there somebody at o2 I can call to stop these twats phoning me? Or will they get sick and tired of me just saying "yes just a minute" and leaving them on the phone, while I make a cup of tea?

Another option is that I install Webgate's Advanced Call Manager, and just blacklist the fuckers.

I doubt they will get sick and tired since they'll probably be using a computer to dial you continually...

Never heard of the company before, have you registered on the TPS for your number?

Other than that, a swift complaint to OFCOM may give them a kick up a jacksee

Although reading through the OFCOM Complaint procedure, it just points you to TPS anyway

If you are signed up for it anyway... Complain directly to TPS on the number OFCOM give you [For TPS that is] and i guess they will deal with it

Well if your mobile is on TPS, and youre positive you have registered it OFCOM on that link say to contact:

Telephone Preference Service
www.tpsonline.org.uk

Tel: 0845 0700707

DMA House
70 Margaret Street
London
W1W 8SS

So all you do is call them, and complain to them, im assuming they will get breathing down the neck of this company then to make em stop [Since, they seem to be breaking the law]

i have been getting these morons phone me too, started about 2 months ago, contract is due for renewal in a month. I phoned O2 and they said there was nothing they could do about it, not their problem etc. in total i think there is about 5 or 6 numbers calling me from different phone firms trying to sell me a contract. after a bit of searching on google it turns out they are just a bunch of scammers. My wife also had the same problem with her O2 contract, 3 months before renewal she started getting calls.

I would be really interested in how they have found out my contract is up for renewal it didint it happen when i was on orange before, only people i have heard of it happening to is O2 customers.

really pissing me off now, they phone at all hours, even had them phone me in the pub on saturday night.

A similar thing happened to Damini's sister. She's on 02 and her contract was due for renewal.

She's not as clued up on these things as most net savvy people are so I guess she didn't get suspicious and didn't ask the right questions, such as "Are you actually calling me from 02?". She just assumed it was since they knew her contract was due for renewal.

She only found out when she phoned them up to query the delivery and 02 denied all knowledge of the phone call. This is where I got involved and tld her to look closely at the paperwork sent with her new phone and contract. Sure enough it was another company and the phone they'd persuaded her to take from them was worse than her current model.

She phoend them up and they said they'd arrange for a courier to come pick it up. They never did, so after a few weeks she sold the phone on ebay for a tidy sum (60 quid I think) AND got 100 quid credit from 02 when she renewed her contract with them directly.

Well if its an o2 specific problem (had a mobile since 1997, never had these calls before now) then they can say goodbye to my business come January.
