It's really not hard to avoid this going forward

(1) Don't expect not to be re-billed for another month if you leave it to the last minute to cancel. Anything under a week's notice means you will be re-billed for another month. That is something you agree to when you initially sign up

(2) If you've got no money in the account, GOA won't be able to take your money ! Alternatively, instruct your bank to refuse payment - but do allow 2 days for any Switch payments !

Cleared out parts for security reasons :> Anyway date is all wrong and for what I know u can't pay ahead.. no money has been drawed but i can play so don't bother me much.. dident intentionally pull off this bug but i know how its done now, could report such a serious error in their payment site but then again, they kinda stole money from me so...

Considering that the GOA server GMs got mod rights on FH (and hence can see your IP), it really ain't that hard for them to do a search and find the match in their playerdatabase... In other words, you're playing with fire, and you're likely at risk for having to pay for all those months you've played for free when they find you.

Match the IP you paid from? What about matching the IP you've been playing from, then? ... I find it very unlikely that you haven't been posting on FH from the same computer/IP as you've been playing from, even if just once, which would be enough.

It might be possibly that they can't withdraw the money from your CC directly, but why would they want to? Much rather sue for fraud (or whatever legal term is used for such a situation as this), so they can get the work hours spent to track you down covered as well.

Taking that I did nothing to provoko the bug and that I can't log on rightnow due to some bug with my pass not working there (yes i am using game pass) I can't really be blamed, hen again its only been going on 1 month so sueing me for 12eur when i live so far away would be such a terrible waste as i always can claim i dident know it wasent intentionally by goa as i only did what i was supphosed to do.. ..

Did nothing more illegal than what they are doing when they put renewal back on auto ½ year after u cancelled it..

All they will ever do IF they find me is to ban me, and i just gained a month more playing time than i would if it dident work

Bugs llike those shouldent even be there in a so secure site, actually im sure we can sue them for letting me bypass all security by just hitting the wrong button.. lol (by that i mean that i got to the payment site without loggin in subscription) Had old link in history bar and merely used that instead which really shoulden't be possible as any hacker would be able to do the same and then gain acces to my personal details.
(hint: go into renewal.. close window so it says transaction in progress (will do it if u close where u are supphosed to enter cc information, then find link into there in history bar billing.goa.com/... worked fine for me when i did it, entered CC details, account opened and i started playing, few days later i noticed i still had my 12 euro :>)

Quite a difference between using a cheat or exploit a texture, to actually cheat a company for money - or maybe you're still living in your naive little egg shell and haven't realized that economic crime tends to give the highest sentences?

Why wouldn't they? As the loser in a civil law suit in Denmark, you end up paying the fees involved for the other side (in this case, the prosecutor) - in other words, it wouldn't cost them a dime.

I believe it might have alot to do with how many resources they got available - and neither you, nor I, can say if there's a GM who idles incognito in some channels, if only to scavenge information which might lead to an investigation.

Actually, if it were serious enough, I doubt that they wouldn't perform an investigation based on IRC 'stories' with relevance to something that's happened on the server (if you recall the incident quite a while back, with 10fga being wiped by 2fgh due to a spy, I believe that one were partly being procured on IRC).

Taking that they dont even listen to me when i report it, it can no longer be my fault.. reported it again now but they just gave me EXCATLY same reply (copy paste i bet). I cant undo the bug and wasent my fault it happened.. pitty on them.

And no they can't sue me cuz i dident steal from them, it just a bug that accidently happened when i payed and I dident even know it was heppening be4 i saw no money has been drawed off my creditcard, will always be able to claim that i was not knowing that it was free.

It's really not that hard to disguise your location. If you know a little about encryption and telecommunications re-routing, it can be done.

Surely the point is this: If you enjoy playing the game, what's the point of making a fuss over a measly 12 Euros ? I have fun so I don't begrudge anyone taking my money.

If you can't afford the subs, that's one thing. If you can and try to pull a fast one on a company that (a) can and will track you down, and (b) has enough cash and resources not to care about suing you for a tiny amount because they have a reputation to protect and shareholders to answer to, then you're being naive.

I personally don't give a stuff if you wanna buck the system or not. I don't care if you play for free or play in jail. I wouldn't take the risks you are, but fair play to ya - I've had a good larf reading it LOL !
