Offensive Emails

Hello, i dont talk much, but just a quick question. A good friend of mine has recieved a few rather nasty emails in the last few weeks, and is getting pretty stressed and annoyed about the whole thing, so i was wondering, is there any way of finding out who is doing it? at all? becuase its so annoying to think that some little shit is sitting at his computer screen doing all this, and there is literally fuck all anyone can do about it.

Any suggestions would be much appreciated.

Report it to the sender's ISP. Normally abuse@whatevershit.com

Yeah - check the message headers

Either abuse@whatever or postmaster@whatever, most large ISPs will also have an abuse form on thier site

He means he's getting Porno stuff comin thru his Addy, so all it is really is junkmail..

just block the sender, but sometimes, the lil fuckers have *bots* or somethin that always changes their name (eg, junk1@mail.com - changes to junk2@email.com) and so on

yahoo are useless.

I had one time where they said I had hacked someones account and uploaded my www there. They wanted my account details, I said no I want proof this is yahoo b4 I give any details. They sent back a crappy warning about how they will take me to court. I sent the letter to abuse, never heard anything since. Most I heard back was an autoresponder to say they recieved the email.

Ive sent abusive emails to them b4 they never have got back to me. Shame really I always considered yahoo to be one of the best companies on the web. How wrong I was.
