been to SA many times, the trip from cape to durban along the east coast is awsome, my favorite bit tho' is between Capetown and Port elizabeth especially around Knysna and if you visit there for some resone be sure to visit a peer resturant called "34 Degrees South"

have a nice trip...

only real advise you need to be safe is...
- dont walk alone at night, dont go into township area's without a local.
- dont look an obviose tar..eh i mean turist "no waist belts, big wallets, dont flash your mobile, cameras, cash..ect and so on, and you'll be just fine

in other words ? common sence... I've visited SA frequently the past 10 years and I have Never had anything but positive experiences
