I read somewhere that the old Frontiers dont exist anymore and that's why they didnt bring them back for the 'Classic' server. But i also heard that a freeshard is re-introducing old frontiers on it's server in a few days.

Did Mythic ever give a reason for not bringing OF back for the classic servers? Surely it would draw alot of players back and make them more of a profit. And make RvR more fun again.

OF is there on Mythic servers the clusters(?) for goa servers with OF on are removed.

Is some threads on vn bout it also. non workah on EU. you would only get to the front gate and be stuck unable to move further than the hasteners(which are still there) the guards are still there but on EU servers you cant move forward.

I have been "testing it" on EU/US I dont wanna do it again I dunno if its illegal or w/e.

The game had to move on and OF was extactly that, it was old and not very interesting for new people.

Mythic did a few surveys and moved the game forward, the majority wanted it and whinging about it wont bring it back.

Lets all just ride this game to end and keep the whine to as little as possible.

NF is without a doubt a better playground than OF.
altho we all loved old emain etc, and feeling so nostalgic about it, you cant ignore the fact that with NF there is much more options in rvr, and theres much more action in general
back in the OF you had 2 choises in any time of day, go emain and get zerged or go odin/hw and get ....zerged? no seriously what was it like in of? in emain, when you run early hours, you were bound to meet horny 7bd 1heal grp running around in rogs killing anything that pops out of stealth in 4k range of them.
In odin/hw you would fall asleep on keyboard cos of no action, and you would also RISK getting banned from fh cos you ranted for 50lines swearing at the person who killed you when you was afk, and swearing at his family too

prime time it was all about maaaajor stealthzerg all around emain, fg fights or zeeeerg depending on server ofcourse (HELLO ALB/EXC), the occasional "fucking adding wankers" rant on irc, esp at the times the hibs was powerleveling their /level 30 alts, and populating their accounts with level 50 chars, or when mid toa got fucked and there was 3 rr10~ + 4 rr5+ fgm camping apk->amg area
hw/odin prime time? running to amgO, dieing of arrows b4 amg door fully opens after you click it.
Running to hw, only to find 6 ns and 5 rangers camping hmg, or fgm running in mg->beno->mg and logging when you fight them once and kill them

im not saying that of wasnt good, it was sweet! however how it is atm theres perma action everywhere, you wont run for hours finding nothing to fight against like in old emain ^^

Emain as an rvr zone was lovely, but it rly wasnt that often the conditions there were too (for albs seeking fg anyway).

agree with toxii.. Ppl seems to miss only the nostalgic factor from OF. NF offers much, much more than OF ever did and personally I love it.
Surely it would be nice with a few days in OF - roaming around levis, dakkons tower etc, it was nice indeed

Maybe the OF should be the last battleground, from lvl44-49, and should include everything Midside of port into Emain, the Alb Port and then the bowl at AMG and maybe the same kind of length AMG->MMG going hibside. Then people could get this OF Fascination out of their systems once and for all and then get into real RvR when they hit lvl50 :>

OF was crap. Stop kidding yourselves. OF was like an old girlfriend that you only remember the good times. You forget why you split up. You forget that she trampled all over you and was a cowbag and that's why she's under the patio now. But that's another story :>
But basically OF was Rinse and Repeat heaven. Go to the portal, wait up to 10 mins if you miss the damn port. Then you are in Emain. (This is where you have to feel sorry for the hibs that had to walk MILES to get to some action where they might instadie). You stroll up to MMG, and either get stealthzerged to death or a zerg is waiting the other side.
Then you peg it from MMG->AMG, hoping not to be killed on the way, meeting up at the stone, and then making your way into the bowl/that tower. You look at the Alb Zerg and wonder just how you are going to get some "fair" fight. Then you get TS'd (if you are a stealther) then dead. Or a mid zerg would hit the Alb zerg and all hell would break loose. Then more albs would arrive and everyone would /release and run back from haggerfel or where ever we were bound (could we even bind at port?).

That's all there was to it. Zergfest. Stealtherfest. Good Old Days but they deserve to stay there. Now we have water, bridges, Lagramon, boats, Big keeps, towers, Siege Weaps, Instaporting in your land getting you to possible fights at your docks within a few mins. More things you can do. More areas to visit/xp/rvr.

It was fun, but the game is way better now.

Saying that, SB's pre 1.62.........LA love..........Instakill CS style PA and not popping out of stealth.........it wasn't all bad :>
