love the game, but gonna try out this mod thing that was posted. seems to improve a lot about why the game was not as good as it should have been. Its a shame i cant run the amazing graphics setting on my laptop, but it still looks awesome, and sometimes i switch to high rezz, high everything in some areas :)

I installed it earlier. Liking it so far! I read most of the ReadMe but it only convers things briefly. Seems to add alot of fun stuff.

The Drop-Torch mod is kinda handy, new armour and cloaks look cool too. I've only just started though so not seen alot of the new stuff yet.

Btw, if ure a stealthy class but gonna play a good guy, kill some beggar at night or some random where u wont get caught, then when Lucien LaChance turns up when u sleep, kick his ass.

Sure u wont be able to do the dark brotherhood missions but his Cloak and Hood have ridiculous bonus stats :)

For the good guys only tho xD

Alternativly heres another amusing thing, if your a caster, get illusion magic as a path and go to the spell shop in the imperial city, shuld be a spell in there, i forget its name but it basicly makes people go into a kind of fury mode when u touch them (lvl 18 and below which apart from the guards, 90% of the citizens are). Then they go round attacking each other, the guards kill em, and u can rob all thier stuff and house keys off em lol. Oh and when one of the guards cops it their imperial armour kicks ass and sells well, afaik u cant kill important NPCs anyway like Thurwen, they just get knocked unconcious. Is a bit pointless but fun to slaughter an entire city and not get accused for it :)

hahahaha yes, also its funny to summon some big-ass monster in a place like the mageguild and hit it 3 times, the monster will aggro on you and all the mages will get out of their beds and go ballistic on the monster, which aggros and kills them then :p

I still think Oblivion is a step back from Morrowind.

Some of the new stuff was nice but the scaling just killed it. Sure, scale some things in some ways but not _everything_ all the time.

I personally think the opposite, non scaling and moving towards 'godmode' is in my opinion killing the game, sure you should grow in power but you should't become a one man army like you did in Morrowind.

I did think the idea of scaling was pretty clever, i know what you mean though.

It's nice to be able to become god like but i also enjoy a challenge ofcourse.

the scaling would have been less silly if there would be more attackers instead of stronger attackers, but i guess it would be pretty shitty for your framerate...

but the scaling is a bit odd, because you dont really have the feeling its of any use to get stronger....

"oh look! a cave with a limited area beyond, and a dungeon!"

*1.5 hours and 4 levels later outside the cave again*

"omg what a uber sword i got now... but wait a second..... why is that bandit over there walking around with armor and a weapon thats 2 tiers higher then what i just found!?!?"

Oblivion is a pile mainstreamed generic random crap to be perfectly honest. The graphics may look fancy and everything, but if you scratch the surface you´ll notice it stinks.

I didnt like it cos I found it impossible to create a female character that didnt look like some troglodyte.

I did quite like buying a house and spending a couple of nights burgling the entire city to furnish it though. Just like rl

its quite fun to empty a town of items, made quite a bit of cash doing that, though ofc there is nothing much to spend your cash on.
