Since my bike crash a few years ago, I've kept the bugger around in the hopes of restoring it, but being out of work for the last 12 months has pretty much scuppered those plans.
So, I need to get rid. Here's the question.. the number plate on it ends in LFC. This probably makes the plate worth a lot more than the bike.
Would it be worth trying to flog the bike on this selling point?
My thinking is, sell the bike and it's up to the person to transfer the plate to whatever vehicle they like, rather than me trying to just sell the plate on its own.
I don't even know if I'd be able to do that, never mind how. The point is to shift the bike so I no longer have to store it anywhere.
Looking around some of the number plate sites, anything with LFC in it is worth from about £500 to a few grand (I saw one for £21k, but it was something like A1LFC). The bike itself is probably worth £100 in spares.
Should I eBay it? Auto trader? Liverpool FC forums?
