A small time ago my friends dad had a ticket slapped on his car in the early morning. The car at the time was on his driveway, off the public roads. Irregardless a ticket was issued.
The reason for the ticket being placed onto the car was because the number plate according to them was classed as illegal. Its a personalised number plate which has the Liverpoo FC insignia placed where you would normally find the "EU" or "GB" insignia.
They got into contact with the DVLA over this issue, and DVLA basically said "Its a grey area, its not right nor is it wrong". If this is the case, how could any fine issued actually stand if there was no clear guidelines by them?
Picture can be seen:
Woops, made it far too large!
I said it was probably because it was a Manc fan. Dont think that would stand up well though!
