'NSync Gets Cut From Star Wars"

"Apparently, fans of the new Star Wars movie were so upset at the news that members of boy band 'NSync were going to appear in it, that the movie's editors have cut the scene.
The boys had appeared as Jedi knights, among several hundred other extras.
"I'm going to make it officially known that they dropped it because people made a big deal about it," Joey Fatone said on a radio show, sounding upset. "We're not going to be in it, and I'm not going to comment on it any more."
However, the scene may be put back in before the movie hits the screens in May. The studio denied that fans had any influence on the cut. "George makes all his decisions himself, and the final edit of the film is what he determines it will be."

George Lucas nearly made another blu blu.

In fairness, before they were cut from the film all they did was get killed, they were onscreen for less than a second being completely owned in a mass jedi fight. Apparantly.

Well, for all we know it could have been a scene where NYSynch killed Jar Jar and but then all suddenly were blown up. Personally, I'd pay for that scene to be put back in.

Correct, only three scenes - the beginning, the end, and all the bits inbetween, plus he introduces the film by reading the traditional scrolling text in his zany "jamaican" accent, and sings a rap song over the end credits, then gives funny comments on the out-takes afterwards.

Hes such a luvverbul character, isn't he ?

N'Sync are very poor; they do try but when it comes to a combination of musical quality, talent and originality they fall short of the Backstreet Boys by a mile.

I bought War the other day, which is pretty good. Downloaded The Joshua Tree tonight, which is also fairly good... my only problem are the basslines, how boring are they? :/

that's the odd thing, though. the basslines are actually quite prominent, yet rather boring... bono's still a great vocalist though, and 'THE EDGE' (what a daft name) has some nice guitar parts.

yeah - i guess the whole concept of the album was to strip it down to it's barebones, and it does contribute to the emotional side of the album.

still, seeing as The Joshua Tree is meant to be one of the best albums ever, I'm not very impressed yet

aye. war, unforgettable fire and joshua tree imo. some of the live stuff on rattle and hum is pretty good too.
some of the older stuff is great too, like gloria [imo best heard live -roxors!]
