NS questions

Just a couple of quick questions for fellow NS players out there....

I'm just in the process of redoing my temp (well if the truth be known actually getting round to finishing it!) and I'm wondering about a couple of things to include :

1) I'm using Pierce (GS main / Champ off) and buffed have 383 Dex / 302 str. Would I benefit anymore by taking Dex over 400 ?

2) I probably know the answer to this but does Viper increase DoT damage for charged items (like Moment of Zen etc)?

3) Is WS related to Str/Dex (primary stats) or is it purely Dex related?

4) Anyone else got any other options for weapon combinations that I could consider? I was Malice/Battler for a while but since going back to Pierce I seem to be hitting a lot harder, so would rather stay Pierce.

Any input greatly appreciated

Taking dex above 400 increases ur wep skill and dmg
Viper is only affecting poisens from envenomed blades
WS is both STR and dex related even though dex gives u more raise than str will
Try out a Zen main champ off or dual legendaries!

Raise strength first if you can. Ie... if you are bying augmenting RA's, buy the cheapest one.
I assume you are a lurikeen with 10 str at creation. Hence you would have:
65 (start) + 155 (buffs) + 101 (items) = 321 str
135 (start) + 155 (buffs) + 101 (items) = 391 dex
Thus, you need to focus on getting closer to those numbers in your template.

But ofcourse, always see if other RA's benefit you more for the relatively small WS/damage increase you gain by higher dex or str.

I don't belive so, no. But not positive.

WS for Pierce (or thrust in Albion) is based on Dex and Str. Hence you probably want to cap both of these in your template. The ratio is 50/50. So having 375dex/325str equals having 350dex/350str.
Ofcourse, dex and str matters for other areas. Your evade rate is partially depending on dex, while your magic power pool is depending on your str.

The tough answer is, that your template should be weapon independent. Ie... you can swap in any weapon you like. Some go for variations of this. Forinstance, so they can swap their main hand weapon freely. Or, they can use a small set of main hand weapons freely. A common combination is that you have a template where you freely can use CW and all legendary weapons in your mainhand, while having a specific off-hand. This is also how you can reapply poisons. By having 10+ pre-poisoned weapons with the same stats in your pack.

Thanks for the replies peeps - that has covered some of the answers that I needed. I'm covered (I think) to hit all the caps that I need so should only need AugDex2 to get 400.


All I need to do now is work out what RA's to respec to for offence rather than defence like it is now !
