NS advice pls

I'm not sure how much piercing or CS to spec. The 4 possibilities are (all options include 35 stealth and 35 envenom):

1. 39 CS 39 piercing 29 CD

2. 44 CS 39 piercing 20 CD

3. 39 CS 44 piercing 20 CD

4. 44 CS 44 piercing 5 CD

I will autotrain so CD will be higher.

Any preferences amongst the shades out there?

I'm veering for 2 at the moment.

make one, but dont expect much in the way of groups, for RvR, and pve :<

(yes yes i know they CAN contribute but they dont get grps typically ok!! fact>

I have done and he is lvl 10 already!

I'm aware of the grouping situation; I have a 50 inf on Prydwen that I fully autotrained and levelled myself (no powering!). However, I'm an experienced player so I think if I can establish links with some fellow levellers I'll do OK. Failing that I can solo easily.

On the subject of experience, if anyone wants to exchange powerlevelling I am very willing to do so. Every level I gain here will be matched on Albion/Prydwen. Please say if interested. If DF is open I can offer PL there with equal chance to obtain diamond/sapphire seals, or I can farm emerald mobs specifically for you.

BM's are supposed to be >>> NS - they're completely different classes.

I actually enjoy my NS immensely, even without a bot I can usually hold my own.

Now, givf 1.64 4.0 rapier :clap:

I'd recommend 39 (or lower) pierce with 39 CS.
My pierce is 37 base and I have no problem whatsoever with misses or evades and base damage is great. The extra CD helps lots. People talk about the wep skill effect of greater pierce, but tbh it just doesn't reflect reality imo ..... I've not had the slightest problem. Go lower than 37 even, if you plan to go high realm rank, or you could wait for a respec stone.
BM is a good class too, but not an ns. They are all different classes. Ns is tough to play and frustrating sometimes, but a good fun class still.

Take the advice of many, go high weapspec... Or do you want to get hopelessy outdamaged by an unbuffed infiltrator when you're fully buffed?

44 weapon 39 cs dont even bother with 44 cs u wasting your points many tests prove it pump up cd the extra offhand damage can win u a fight.

Many fights u will be out end and then that extra cd will help u the diffrence is 39 to 44 cs is nothing proven and on record.

To be honest I'd go 50 weapon and 39 cs or 34 cs. Prolly blades due to the armor tables as pierce NS always has the resist tables against them when fighting Inf/SB. Losing out on Diamondback wouldn't bother, it's just a bit of "free" damage these days.

Besides, luris with the slowest blade (can't remember name now) look teh funneh.

I have tryed 50 weapon gained nothing so went back to 44/44 seems about right 44 weapon 39 or even 34 cs is the way to go cd = the win

Oh it's quite nice weapskill increase. But hey, not everyone has to have 50 weapon, I just personally can't even consider playing a melee if I can't have 50 weapon in final template.

The best advice would be to stop CS and Pierce at 39 maximum, your other skills at what you want them at, then hold onto the remaining points until you've spent some time in rvr. Then you should know better than anyone what you can use some more points in. My own experiences tell me that high pierce and therefore wep skill are not needed at all, but some dont agree. Try it for yourself, you will be surprised ;) Single line respecs seem to come about now and then, upon patch releases, etc, so you could even chuck your points into CD and see how you get on, you can respec CD later if you decide you want more in CS for example.
All those options you mentioned are viable ones though (hmm maybe not #4 ;) CD fortehwin). Imho, test things for yourself and make your own mind up about the spec that suits you. People's opinions on specs change on a regular basis based upon the most bizzare things, such as some kids flawed tests posted on a message board somewhere (for example) ...... then someone quotes it, then everyone's saying it, then it's gospel ....... you know how it is ;)

My spec is:

44 cs
42 pierce
35 stealth
36 venom
11 cd

and my damage sucks

I'm happy to hit over 100 dmg mainhand against other assassins, while they hit me back for 150ish (infs) mainhand and 220 (sb's) mainhand. I'm aiming for rr7 before I quit with the following spec:

33 stealth
31 venom
48 pierce
39 cs
21 cd

RA's will be purge, ap3, mopain2, dr2, wa2 and if I ever gain higher ranks I'll get dr and mopain higher.

This leaves a 21+17+12 = 50 modified cd spec which hopefully will be okay.

But I'll probably never reach rr7 sooo .. :p

I think at low rr high cs skill is usefull for the added style damage, but with 39+15+ you won't notice a huge diff I think.
