npc's and players of the screen disappear to me

why npc's and players the screen disappear to me?,before it had never happened to me...it has been happening to me for two days ago..

i have a P4 2200 with ATI Radeon 7000,much people say that is my video card,but if it were my card would have happened to me from the first day,i think...

well i need a solution please!!!

Sounds like a latency problem - the server isn't sending you the info about those characters in time. Do you get bad lag or regular LDs as well?

Call Center Supervisor Mike "Madmortigan" Stone and Technical Team Lead Destin Bales were present on our Tech Tavern forum this day with advice and news for Camelot players.
Madmortigan on disappearing people issues: "Hey, if i go far enough away from civilization and don't see any monsters or people for long enough they all disapear and i have to relog to get them back. I even get ganked and killed by little greens b/c i can't fight back. I have a GForce2 anybody else have this issue?"

After a few moments (10 to 30 seconds) of play, characters start to disappear, NPC's and or PC's are not visible yet I can still talk to them with /send or see spells they cast.<->

This is a common problem found almost exclusively with users of Black Ice Defender. It does matter what mode you have Black Ice set to. Normally the highest setting or second highest setting (Paranoid or Nervous) can produce the effects of no characters showing up or disappearing over time. Best bet is to set the server address in Black Ice as a trusted IP address or lower your firewall security setting down one notch. You do this by selecting Tools, then Edit BlackICE Settings, and switch to the Protection tab to lower your security setting and/or add the Camelot server address (which should appear as an attack IP address in your Intruder or Attack window about the same time you started the game in the MAIN BlackICE window). Add the IP address of the Camelot game server by hitting add and typing in the numerical IP address for the server and hit Apply then Ok. Log out of the game, and start back in again after completely shutting down DAoC.

it happens to me the same,after 5-10 seconds,npc's and players start disappear,i can still talk or see spells...but i dont have blackice or pc-cillin ( not changed video card,neither drivers,nor connection,it does not give lag either to me or ld's,the three squares P,L,F is always in green,i have been two years playing camelot without no problem and it passes this suddenly to me,i do not understand!!

im farly sure its to do with lag, and your cennection, i tend to notice it happen when iv just had lag or someone else is using the connection (i have a shared singel channel ISDN 64k line)


no idea how to fix it tho
