Yep this is a n00b question that was being asked ages ago when all the fps shit was being thrown at dynamix.

Ive got a 32mb GF2 GTS and get about 30fps. I have to run it in 32bit color which will slow it down shit loads- if I run it in 16 bit, I get weird distortions in the game.

I remeber I wasn't the only person having this problem when it was first released. Hasn't it been sorted out yet, or is there a solution to this prob?

3 things:

1) Make sure you've got the absolute newest drivers for your GFarce - that should make it run both "hunky" and "dory". Failing that -


2) What resolution r u running in? My GeFarce1 DDR runs it fine in 800x600 with most (but not all) the settings on max.

3) What processor have you got? It ain't no use unless you've got something fairly beefy!

I've got a GE1 DDR and have experience of using GE2's in various flavours with T2.

The best combo I've found thus far (for all the above cards) is:

1) Nvidia 12.41 det drivers, some will argue the point, but many will vouch for these as being among the best performing and stable among the 12.x drivers.

2) Re: your graphic weirdness, make sure that you have desktop AND in-game textures and colour depth set to 32-bit. If ya dont, you'll get horrible saw-tooth edges around stuff.

3) Deffo spend some time fidding with tweaks that are found at the upset chaps guide mentioned by requ!em. A few config based tweaks yielded a nice improvement on my GE DDR1.

4) Make sure your agp speed is set to 1/2x in Bios, using x4 can cause stability issues with a lot of peeps running T2.
