not to amused at recent midgard rvr grps

its recently become a case that thanes and warriors are considered no longer needed in rvr grps i find that a load of bollocks, as i now usually play a shammie i can tell u that peopel with guard are much needed to at least stop u from being killed in the first 5 seconds

please do not invite my shammie anymore into rvr grps that do not contain someone with guard

well 4 thanes this has been a case for a year fuck knows how u have coped

Givf Savage nerf!

Its kinda true...although i don'r rvr much myself, i have tried to wait at mtk lfg...mostly without luck. People want damage and not a freaking tank :-(

I don't understand the Thane part too...they are decent too at guarding and guarding is important to let tanks or healer/shammies alive. It gives a minor edge when fighting.

I really hope too we can look forward for some more invites when being pure tanks...sry we can't frenzy or quad hit for damage :-/

just 10minutes ago a random group forms at MPK, a liddul 43 healer was the only one there who would join (out of the Seers there) and he gets insta booted from the group as soon as a 50 arrives. Don't get me wrong, ofc a lvl 50 will do better, but I think people are loosing sight of the bigger picture here, its a game, take a step back, get off your high horses and stop all being so uber leet roxor dudes.

Still feel sorry for the liddul healer, I remember when i was leveling up the old way, and got a group in Odin's at around level 45, was so happy, and at the end of the day, that was what the game was about back then, now its just.......

I think I play out of habit rather than fun.

Oh well, flame me, call me names etc etc I don't care anymore. Gonna go get drunk and play some PS2.

I have a L50 warrior and I started leveling my healer when the warrior hit the lair levels (good ol fashioned pull and mez times) when warriors where far from good. Hit 50 with my warrior and went RvR'ing with every sorts of groups, quickly learned that midgards tank #1 was purely defensive and played like that untill RR 4L4 with that tank..

Before the zerker nerf the only warriors wanted in RvR groups
(( and the only one that valued a good warrior was the NP groups.. there's a reason that they were the #1 undefeated guild a while, they valued the chars that weren't the #1 fotm chars )) was for the random pickup groups that at times rocked (that's how I got my warrior to 4L4) but every day I had to atleast stand for 2-3 hours yelling LFG and other variants of it..

So I started to level my healer for the groups sake.. after hitting 47 with my healer I quit the game for a good 2 months, came back, within 2 weeks I dinged 50 and got 3L6 (47-50 and from 1L3) with a few groups consisting of pure fotm groups..


so I as both healer and warrior of midgard say NERF the fotm phenomena and make room for all the classes to be played in different kind of groups.. not just one setup 4 teh win all the time as it is now..

Or atleast enlighten midgard that there are other group setups like the RM groups Arnor runs in instead of the ordinary XX number of savages and a equal number of healers..

sorry to say problem is with people themselfs.and structure off game ,as it been now people see how to play the game.it will not be anymore like the old days people inv ur don't care about there lvl.
last time i was making group at mtk a sit there for 5 ports ,becaus the healer from pro petra guild say not wanne fight ur leave mtk till we have other pac healer to join usresult we all logged and take off borid to wait.
those moments will happen more ofthen now all horny for realm point and scared to lose fight.
and mids say about nerf savage,stop about this without them in rvr mids are nothing atm.thats only class who can do dmg.

First off i dont consider myself 1337 or ubar, ive run in all sorts grps and this is just my guesses why these problems exists.

Out of the odd 30 different warriors ive grouped (and maybe 5-8 thanes) very few have been more useful than a savage/zerk, the reason i whould prefer these classes is because they are "easier" to play. Even if they dont assist you go hit random support they do more good than a warrior standing next to me guarding me, without any attackers at all. Once a warrior PM:ed me said, ill "watch grp mini and if i see you need a guard ill come running to you" The same warrior almost exclusivly guarded me when needed (same goes for the other seers), i mean if he saw 4 tanks inc on me and they got rooted/mezzed or i just outran them he didnt come guard me because he knew it wasnt needed. Now other times ive tried running to the warrior, pf:ed with 3 tanks on my ass just to see him run off? A good warrior is an asset, yea but few can play the class, and almost none dare tell the seers how to handle certain situations, or simply ask them what they want the warrior to do.

Now regarding sm:s the concept is basicly the same (if u only have 1), and if u run a pbae group aggresivly its very different from what many people are used to. people who make this group
should tell in /g what people are supposed to do, i think that if people spent a few lines just discussing how each class should be played all random groups whould do alot better.

And that brings me to another point. Many people who have spent some time in emain rather wait for a tank they know are good than invite someone they never seen before, the same goes for healers maybe with the exception of menders (sh spamming and instas is something everyone can do and thats enuff to be "decent"). Anyone "new" to emain that asks what people want him to do have alot greater chance of getting invited the next time than a guy who doesnt, and i assure you ive never gotten the reply "rofl kick the n00b" or similar when doing this.

Lastly if u cant get a decent build, and dont wanna wait for it then make two crappy FG:s. Most "good" FG:s will win you anyway if you play bad, so the only one really hurting is the other crappy FG:s from other realms, but none of these FG:s usually survive anything anyway.

RvR has always been like this, indeed the game has (try being a hunter post lvl 30 lfg). People want to get better quickly and forming the most rp effective groups gets that. Same reason we all went lair even though as a playing experience it sucked.

Sadly for Thanes, when it comes to rvr groups they are weaker than Warriors for defense and weaker than other casters for offense so will never get in the purists group.

Most RvR grp vs grp battles are insta mezz, purge, demezz, remezz/stun with the win going to the groups who resist/react better. Group creation is about shifting the probabilities about within that reality. You can still be quite successful with an unbalanced group with a bit of luck. Ive won a succession of battles with mixed level/class (inc Thanes) guild group and been trashed repeatedly with a two healer, lots of savages group.

Personally Id rather be running about emain being ganked with some Thanes than standing at MTK grazing on air. You need pac healer and aug shammy (you can even do it with an aug healer tho much harder) to have a group that can win battles, all else is about increasing the probability of victory.

As for people who refuse to play without a specific class joining, kick em and go look for stealthers to kill. Better than 2 hours watching the Buffbots at MTK. sure the healer will get another group but at least you not wasting your time.

murazor, (im assuming we are talking a mid tank grp) mezz doesnt decide much at all it is an advantage but a very small one . And no healer whould open with a instamezz, having just 1 pachealer you wont win any decent rvr groups, ever.
I think the reason you dont get a group is because you dont understand much of emain RvR, you are infact a liability since all seers whould count on you and you prolly dont have a clue what to do. People like you are more of a reason warriors dont get invites to groups than fotm-tanks will ever be.

And yes, this thing with one class being better than another has been blown out of proportion. With each patch you see Mythic are trying to fix any unbalance present in the game pre-patchday. For example: LA was doing way more damage than its counterparts in Hib and Alb, plus more than many other chainclad tanks in Mid. Seeing this was supposed to be a spec for offensive classes with light armor it got out of hand because these lighttanks were able to beat anything to pieces, thus the nerf.
Problem is there will always be a few classes that are just a tad better than the rest between each patch. This will change with time, and so you'll see the savage-mania end within a few months. Thing is there are just so damn many players in this game it can't be perfect for everyone. Some play for fun, some play to kill stuff and some play to be the best. The ones who go for the best characters possible see these unpatched classes, roll one, get them to 50 and enjoy them for a while. Nothing wrong with that, it's just regular, human behaviour.
What I don't understand is why people are questioning Mythic as they straighten out these mistakes that are giving some classes advantages. Compare it to football for example; if you realise the field was tipping over to one end you'd fix it, right?

Personally I simply CAN'T STAND the "perfect group" attitude... basically if you aren't a det tank or a healer/shaman you can go F yourself. About a month ago I had a nice group in emain started with a guildie, the we told the group that another guildie who happend to be a hunter is coming and instatly everyone starts to cry and whine and leave the group. No matter really, would have disbanded such whiners anyway.

had a lvl 3 Viking guildie with my group in odins tonight, that was a blast he got a feq rps, and we had fun looking at him running around like a headless chiken . He only died once from a mob near fensalir.

and i always urge to get at least one non lvl 50 in my rvr group as they're actually as good as a non 50 when it comes to tactics and dmg.. np there.

all in all.. i have nothing against lowerlvls in rvr, nor do i have anything against warriors or Thanes, my skald has died to them in duel countless times, and that's mainly because of their annoying block rate.

Stop the f***ing whining! Everytime when there is a shield user in rvr grps, they dont intercept/guard healer/shaman anyway, they /assist main "tank" and don't bother about their support. So, since they just assist, you want max damage on that assist, witch is savages. nuff said.
