Is it just me or is it just the countries that already have nukes that are worried? I cant understand why they panic since they refuse to disarm themselves...

I don't think the problem has ever been that they are worried that North Korea will suddenly become a major threat to someone like the US and try to invade them. What it does mean is they can go pick on other little countries and stepping in to help out the small country suddently becomes very tricky and risky.

I doubt that the US is eager to step in on North Korea.... They tried it once, failed miserably, and any president that would try it again would have like 99.9% of the people against him, and that's not a good position to be in as a leader. Plus, they don't really have oil to spare...

but yeah, I don't really fancy N.Korea having nukes, nor do I fancy Iran having nukes (well, not yet, but the general consensus is they're working on it under the motto "fission energy is our right qq etc") but, I don't think that any country who has nukes has any right to deny other country having them.

we need more countries to fear imo, givf iran nukes so they can go crazy on isreal, give pakistan nukes to bomb india and give cashmere nukes to bomb both, now thats something worth talking about.

Israel had nukes way before Iran and is just as volatile a regime, and the fact of the matter is Iran at the moment doesnt have nukes.. it has nuclear power. They also have offered the UN to come and supervise it, i'm not a sympahiser of Iran by any means but i think their roadmap is very reasonable.
That aside even if they get nukes, at least it means they have leverage against the US+Israel alliance who are just waiting for an excuse

Pakistan and India both already have nukes and have done for years, yet neither has used them over Kashmere

I think its a good thing more states have nukes, the UN doesnt do anything to protect smaller states when the yanks decide they feel like invading x this week, so its about time they took the initiative and got their own insurance policy

Don`t blame them at all developing nukes, with George Bush and co. warmongering all over the shop they need some form of deterrent from attack and invasion by the western aggressive states. Without nukes it's open season on them just like it was for afghanistan, Lebanon and Iraq. I'm ashamed to be a part or a country that supports the Us foreign policy.
