Firstly, I need to explain that I went to see this film with friends and my girlfriend in order to not actually watch the film. But, as I actually watched the whole thing. I thought I'd post.
As most will know, it's really not like Eddie's early work (Coming to America/Beverly Hill Cop etc) and it's not exactly one of the better films he's done, though saying that I'd rather own this than his last 2-3 films he released.
Story line was the standard boy meets girl, boy loses girl, boy meets new girl and boy goes back to old girl with the standard stuff in between. Some parts of the film (not trailer based) are actually quite good and did generally give me some laughs (along with the GF) and I'd suggest it if you want a quick, mindless and somewhat funny film.
Downsides to the film? Some parts are repetative (bed scene) and you know from the start what's going to happen and after you've seen the trailer, some of the funnier bits just don't seem funny anymore. (Slide scene)
Pros to the film? Quick to get into, some regular faces (Mainly the big black guys, whos' name I can't remember for the life of me) and generally a 'Awwwwwww' sort of film in some parts; and a whole sort of happy ending/funny ending.
If you're looking for something better than his old film, don't bother. If you're looking for something better than 'Daddy Day Care' or have got kids (even though it's a 12a) I suggest going to see it... I liked it, though I'm faily simple.
6/10.
