This morning when i tried to log in my account, it was already logged in, which is pretty wierd cause i'm the only one with the password to my account.

Then 30 minutes later i try again, but my quickstart wont work so i choose no thanks, and log in from server menu. and then when i ****** get in all my chars are deleted and replaced by 4 lvl 1s >.< hacked, wtf.. anything i can do about this? :doh: :wall:

Can you honestly say you're sure you never gave anyone else the password, or stored it unencrypted on your comp, and have no trojans/viruses/ANYTHING of the kind?
Anyhow hope GOA can restore your chars, even if they are naked I'm sure people would help you out with cash. And SC will help after that

Goa can restore the last 4 deleted chars, so I hope this hacker didn't delete 8 chars (4 original, 4 new).

I logged in, 3 original deleted and 4 new made, i quickly logged out, made new pass, send to goa over "right now", and when i logged in again to tell my guild what happened, the 4 new characters was deleted to, thought it didn't matter :-/

i have played Diablo 2, prob the most cheated game ever

well i just want to tell/warn ppl about using 3'rd party programs even if they help or make life a little easier.

you never know what that program are hideing of trojans or viruses. it might aswell be daox that have told the password to someone somewhere.

thats why i dont use such programs, i know from Diablo 2 that maphack had some trojans if it was downloaded from somewhere outside the original source.

so just a warnning, dont use 3'rd party programs, u have everything to loose.

FFS, another person hacked I got hacked and had all my chars deleted last week too. Use rightnow and try to get your char back, and hopefully u will be more lucky than me.

I got back 2 lvl50s who were bare and lost my lvl48 NS. Hope u dont lose any chars too.

cant be to hard for goa to see who was loged at the accout during the deleet aswell. they said they log "everything" and that must include ip's on users aswell.
too bad its seems like they see it like loosing one costumer gives room to a new one.

I was a moderator for one MMORPGs forums earlier and privy to some info... They too said they log everything, but after having followed the private boards for a while, it became apparent they didn't log as much as they lead the players to believe. Only "major events" concerning a character. I'm quite sure this is the case with DAoC also.

IP's I'm pretty sure they log though, would be foolish not to. Unless it's illegal - in some IT law there's a clause about logging net traffic, I recall, but it could've been about who you can show it to only.

damn... that's shitty, just pray that GOA can do something about it.. and is it only me or has the number of accounts being hacked increased rapidly lately? perhaps there's a 3'rd party proggy out there that's logging and recording.. either that or they got hold of your subscription details and password.

Just deleted and took a backup of all the "sensitive" informations I had on my hotmail address so if that one got hacked.. can't be too paranoid can you?

this restore chars and stuff isnt that pretty much bs? i mean GOA can see evidence of how long the person have been paying his account, they gotta have some logs on character deleting/creating. even if they cant restore original spec/rps they sure as hell can create new lvl 50 chars. if they dont believe u or such, throw up a poll here or something and i hope people will support u, we've all seen u in game. hope it works out.

GOA can bump lvls they can make lvl 50's in seconds they can spawn items in there own bags to give out so there is NO reason that full character re-creation should not be possible

A little tip that may help sum of u guys.
Never have something important shared on your computer, wich u may have if you're in a local network.
Because there's a bug in xp wich makes it easy to hack, you just need the IP-number then type \\ipnumber and then you can look through everything the one u hacking has shared.
I've heard about people who have got over 10 different sub- and game logins to daoc that way, most often from ppl in daocchannels on IRC.

Hope this info will save some of u ppl from getting hacked!

XP has hundreds of exploitable bugs, maybe not as easy ones to exploit as the one you described (hope no twat gets no help from your post there), but still it's doable by anyone who can read and type...
