Shame - he had a tough life - long battle with nephritis (kidney disease) that left his body stunted and lots of failed kidney transplants.

I shall always remember him for his role in 'Different Strokes' and I think he had an effect on popular culture.

I've always figured he was one of the inspirations for Bart in the Simpsons.
