I nominate The Woodstock, Manchester, mainly because it's a 5 minute walk from my house. In winter it gets busy as its too cold to sit outside, but otherwise it's fantastic, really large pub which even has board games behind the bar for your to play.

Any kind of old fashioned boozer. The kind where your feet stick to the floor, women hardly go in and you dont find loads of spiky hair'd fags with rolled up sleeves drinking alcopops. These are my favourite pubs/bars :)

I'm going to vote for a pub in Bath, The Raven.
The best pie's ever, a great selection of ciders and ale's.
It happened to have the world's smallest door as well, which made it a bit tricky to get in an out of when it was crowded!

My nomination is the Beehive Inn, 10-11 Castlegate, Grantham, Lincolnshire
NG31 6SE.

On several grounds; it was a notorious underage drinkers' pub when I was a lad (and the police knew it, but it kept us off the streets), it was cheap and olde worlde, and it has the only living pub sign in Britain (guess what it might be?) - funny as buggery watching people who didn't know how to get in/out safely in the summer months getting a few stings for their trouble. It was almost like the bees were the guardians of the beer - only those worthy and brave may enter and quaff :)

Isaac Wilsons in MIddlesbrough, it's a wetherspoons pub but it's got a damn sight better selection of ales than any other place i've been!

only the front page works :p but its a brilliant place, pints of ale 2.20, just had its inauguaral beer festival and day after landlord was selling the reminaing stuff at 1.75 a pint! Plus always get a few free drinks when he's feeling generous.
