- If you are of a higher realm rank/level than the player you killed, you now receive fewer realm points than you would if you killed a player with an equal or higher realm rank/level. Note that this adjustment works on a sliding scale. For example: A realm rank 9 player killing a realm rank 2 player will make considerably fewer realm points than when killing a realm rank 8 player.

Sucks imo, it penalizes dedicated RvRers for RvRing...

sucks a bit, best would be to add a bonus rp for low rrs if they kill high rrs, and leave rp income from low rr the way it is.

should be turned around, so that rp bonus on high rrs is higher imo. so bonus systems > penalty systems

Exactly, I would have Nps with a RR1 getting, say, 1500 Rps for killing a RR8+. This will only affect them while they are low RR, wheras with this change you're going to be stuck with it forever after you attain a certain RR.

Remains to be seen how they will implement it for groups and how big the penalty is. Seems to me this change will affect zergs least. :puke:

Smite clerics shouldn't be able to get any RPs tbh!

Hmm wonder why they change the realm point system, seem to me it works fine as it is. They should instead focus more on the massive use of buffbot's witch has a lot more influence on a fight than a few realm ranks diffrence.
Realm ability/Rank, Artifact, SC, Relic's, or ML ability, almost totally fades compared to the diffrence on a buffed player and a unbuffed player.

Well, mids/hibs will just need to kill a few more warders. what's the difference :)

Higher RR complain mostly so far is the general feeling I see..

I personally am 'high RR' (RR9) but I still think its fine. RR11 should be something special and the amount of RP flow has increased in New Frontiers alot.. Faster paced action ---> more 'frags' ---> more RP / hour.

The suggestion from one of the DH-eldritches on VNboards already had my support awhile back: Increasing RR's like new titles etc to keep it special and gaining something 'new' ....

I don't mind it, I just don't see why the scale does not go the other way also, so that you get more rps for killing higher realm rank.

After NF ML's will be more of an advantage in fights then ra's anyway, few people can afford the best abilities at good levels, so the over powered ml's and artifacts will be the deciding factor in fights more now.

see it that way: beg Mythic for A, you get B. But let's see how big the penalty is, before complaining.

basically i think it's a good idea but as someone said the other way round would have been better (giving low RRs a bonus when killing high RR players).

for me this isn't an issue anyway since I don't gain anything from RPs anymore (except for moving up/down the rp ladder)

I'm not sure why some are saying this is 'good', because this system (although indirectly) is already in DAoC...

RR2 - 7k rps
RR3 - 64k rps
RR4 - 215k rps
etc, etc...

It already takes longer for you to reach higher RR the higher RR you are... So basicly this is a double nerf... You already have to kill (a lot) more to get a realm level at RR8/9, but now you have to killl even MORE to get higher... I'm not sure at what amount of decrease their talking about though...

The XP system is exactly the same way, the XP doesnt change once you get higher level, just the value of the xp towards a level is less...

Oohwell, we're looking at it from the wrong pov, a decrease for high rr is the same as an increase for low rr... Just 'compared to now', its a nerf... I think mythic just saw too many RR11's, imho they should have just made RR15 or something like that and put it at a rediculous high amount of rps... (take highest amount of rps atm, and do that times 2 to get rr15)

If they want to cap RR:s based on avg server RR this is a good way to do it, a bonus system whould not work the same way. I doubt mythic put that much thaught into it tho.

Thing is - as a RR7 char killing other RR7s you don't make any more than the person that ignores the high RR types and only kills the "easy" ones ...

this system will penalise the person hunting the easy prey (I'd prefer the other way around too but I'm happy enough with this solution tbh - just imagine they did a 1/2 rps across the board then added extra for killing higher or equal RR folks ;))

Doubt high rr groups wont go after low rr groups just because they gain less rp from it - most of the time they cant really chose who they fight anyway.

I thought dedicated RvRers only wanted fair fights ;)

I think in the world of RvRers 'Fair' really means 'Easy' - thats just my theory though.
