Not that I care that much about your name myself, but coming here and saying that you have no idea at all why it would be offensive seems a bit off to me. I seemed to remember I read somewhere about why you chose your name so I did a quick search and it wasn't that hard to find.

From ImLestat's post and my own , it seems Bobrot has a very short memory , ffs he whines at the name change and pretends to be all innocent , yet he himself posted exactly what his name meant in a seperate thread a while back ??

Well duh,

They probably don't have time to scan names for possible violators. Probably they only change names based on reports from other players. I guess someone really got offended or doesn't like Nobrot and reported him.

Basically GOA couldn't care less but when they get a complaint from a customer, they have to react. That's how it works. If you don't have your brain on when choosing your name, don't come back whining when it's changed.

But what if they get 10 times more complaints telling GOA to changing names BACK ??

Maybe 10 times more people are offended by the changing of the name, than the original name ??

GIFV democracy in namechanging too !!

Surely that must mean that these threads must count for something ;)

Thank you kindly for pointing that out lol, doh!..

But it still takes an uber lamer to want to go to all the trouble of reporting Nobrot to Goa, I must have realy offended somebody..

No religious, sexual or political references, thats what the CoC say's, but just how "sexual" is it?.... I would really like to hear from the person that felt so strongly as to report to Goa that they found my name offensive... it's a dastardly act I tell you...

Watch out Rambo, your next, and I am sure it wont be long before the Albion Stable boy is renamed to Bob,

Oh, and Uncle Sick... very witty and articulate, so glad you were able to contribute.

There is some poor bugger at a customer I'm doing some work for called Michael Hunt. I think he prefers to be called Mick, but I don't think he really stands a chance.

Sometimes it doesn't seem the cards life dealt you are so bad after all :D

double click internet explorer or your preferd web browser
type in web address

now tell me - what is so troublesome about that? and to get on rightnow and report a name you -

Id liek to point out beforehand that I wouldnt ever bother complaining about such a name...but you have to be realistic guys.....

If you let some1 call themselves nobrot........can we have a few more peopel in there with him...cokrot........dikrash...etc


The name Nobrot.....is the phonetic spelling of Knobrot.

It dosnt take a great deal of figuuring out why they see reason to ban it imo.

As for nobrot having been around a long time...Goa obvioulsy changed the name at either the 1st point they became aware of the name...or the 1st time it was reported.

If I had a name such as 'Prick' on my character (yeah yeah).........for me to say u cant change my name coz I have now had it for XX months....dosnt carry a lot of weight imo.



As I say...I wouldnt have bothered about complaining about 'nobrot'.........but to say they have changged it..and that u have been unjustly treated isbit OTT on your behalf I reckon.

wow you remember me, was at least 4months ago (i've been away for 4). That will teach you for talking to yourself outside Castle Sauvage. I was up in the vault room when some message about not understanding you came up. No one else seemed bothered about it so i went for a look expecting to be killed by some L50, when all of a sudden i see you trying to sneek past, so it you with the mezz (ah the 30sec mezz timer you are truly missed) and tried to remember the text book smite cleric one on one duel techneque. I have to admit your damage out put per hit was about the same as mine though you were swing faster, and without my instent DD's and you not CS me was a big help. Did you know i was a cleric BTW?

LOL, I remember m8, that was when I must have been around mid 40's on one of my beaks from Malmo, I used to go and RvR, get killed reely fast, and it would refresh my focus to get to level 50..

I was outside the keep yelling "Come out you sucky Albs" or some other insult, then you came out I get a couple of hits off (missed PA) and mezz, smite (didnt know what it was at the time) dead.. even back then I didnt mind dying, but you would have felt sorry for me if you had known it must have taken me over an hour to find the bloody Sauvage gates (and a few attempts before that when I ended up as a brown drake snack).. and about 10 minutes camping outside before you got me... and then off back to Malmo, looking forward to the day I would extract revenge.. will see you there at the weekend maybe :), for a rerun..

Or a place of your choosing <gets rusty axe out, and carefully unscrews the top to his snare poison>

i think we were both L43 as i had a look on Duskwave.com shortly after. I've been jumped there by stealter a few time. Normally i see red so after i mezz them and run, but seeing as i got you with mezz before you CS me and ddn't have to instent heal myself i decided to have a go. You put up a good fight unlike Grymligast who i killed in DF, he was L50 and tryed to run after one hitting a caster so i stuned him and 3 of those flying female demons you get near ald merchs agroed him, when stun ended he carried on fighing mobs so i finished him off with smite. I'm really easy to find in frontier, i'm useally at the front charging in like a wanna-be tank, finger poised over the instent mezz key. TBH i spend too much time in RvR been playing over a year, hit L40 after 6 months and still only L45 so maybe when i reach L50 well meet again.
