Everytime i reset my PC, i get asked to install the driver for a "Universal Serial Bus (USB) Controller".

I have absolutley *no* idea what it is, and its forever bugging me. I dont know what USB device its talking about because all the ones i have are all installed!

Heres what i have (USB):

HP PSC750 Printer - Drivers installed
Mercury Webcam - Drivers installed
Kodak DigiCam - Drivers installed
Bluetooth Dongle - Drivers installed
USB Modem - Drivers installed

My bro showed me a program he has which identifies all his hardware on his PC, with or without drivers installed, and it shows if theres updates required and stuff, cant remember what it was called, it was somethin like "MyDrivers or something.

Wild stab in the dark here....but could it be part of your mobo & not a peripheral....dyu have a disk of drivers that came with your mobo ? Did you ever do a format and forget the mobo drivers. The solution might lie therein...(or in a more up to date copy of windows) ;)

Usually part of your chipset drivers those things. Tried updating them?
