3 theurgists

I'll take all 3 theurgists for my ideal group (if Sru is one of them)! I've done trees with 3 theurgs and it was great!

I seem to remember we had a couple of lower level tanks that day, and I was only about 41st level, but it rocked

Its possible to make decent xp with less than ideal groups. Me and my other half sometimes find ourselves groupless (i'm a pally defensively specced, he's a Merc) so we just group up together and go make use of the improved camp bonuses in the Barrows, you can make decent xp on blues and yellows as you have no downtime and fast kill times. I stick guard on and run my heal chant so that what little we get hit is fixed up by the end of most fights. I think people get too hung up on xp per kill rather than on xp per minute

In the time we'd spend looking for a perfect tree or DM group we can have made 0.5 of a bubble at level 48.

Hehe perfectly so - this one was a chuckle - 3 infils aorund 40 plus a sorc same level... start normal pygmy chain and then the sorc mezzes incoming, debuff pulls, infils in a line in front and stealthed - all 3 PA, no more goblin. Rinse/repeat - take them down nice and fast and keep at it, and the bubbles will come.

the only death the whole him was hik, whos 50 anyway did quite well i think.

Cabalist can do 1 man tanglers...

That is pretty optimistic since they dont have AoE root, but they can be of great help in the small tangler groups, with their ability to heal and tank + ofc Drain. I would be happy if you would show me your the trick as to how to solo tanglers when you are a caba

I've found 2 theurgists with pbt better than healers ... best group I've been in was 2 theurgists with pbt, 3 scouts, 2 tanks and 1 theurgist nuker.

It took me about 5 seconds to decide to delete my level 41 Theurgist - I just couldn't be arsed to play him anymore, groups were boring me rigid and soloing wasn't any better.

If your wondering where Ive got to Gimly, its because Im playing a minstrel on Guinevere now, which (for the time being) is a lot more fun.
I miss the Griffon Knights a lot though, but I just can't face leveling up 2 characters at the same time anymore, so Im concentrating on the US version for now.

I think that most people forget that there are other things to hunt for good xp besides trees.

If you go to Llyn Barfog and hunt feeders and needletooths by chainpulling them you can get even better xp then trees (this requires a good group).
Also in Pennines you got those huge worms (forgot their names) who also give good xp if you chainpull them.

Yep i love llyn barfog because of tooths,feeders,gorgers,devourers and toads they all drop lovely things with nice exp.

XP above 40 is pretty much a mare in Middie also. Raumarik is a possibility but hunts there are pretty rare afaik. Maybe solo in Spindelhalla some.

The place to be however is Malmohus the epic zone, but unless you are in a larger guild or an alliance you're going to have a tough time getting in.

XPing there (and getting in) is usually done with 2 groups of 8 people pulling 4 drakulvs at a time. You also require a level 47+ (I think) healer for reliable CC. I had been in Malmo once on a dragon raid and the second time I tried to get in with a group it took 3 hours and the healer logged after we got there because quite frankly it was very late by then. Getting into a running group there can in the worst case take hours of waiting. What most people do these days is log their toons in Malmo after they have been put on "the list" and go play an alt Seeing how I am level 42 right now and what a pain it is getting in/out of Malmo I'm not leaving there till level 45

Aside from all this deaths from resisted mezzes and the like are quite common and without reliable crowd control it's a dangerous thing indeed (root is rather dodgy). So a logging healer can stop the whole process dead in it's tracks.

That said I'm not an expert on Malmohus. Only just started xping there and mileage varies a lot. Sometimes you got a great group with nice people but one dork can make the whole thing an unpleasant experience. It goes without saying though that in the end it's incredibly boring

Yep.... as you will know from our forums I have been getting bored with Gimly, hence why I created my alts. But as of late the only groups I seem to be able to get are Guild one's. The only reason I still play him is that I have put so much time and effort in to him it would be a shame to leave him unfinished.

Well all I can do mate is wish you the best of luck on Guinevere, I do have a copy of the US game but have held off from using it. Main reason was the guild, with people like yourself and Lamagra. Maybe I will go and have a look at Mordred and see if it is as bad as everyone says.

One thing is for sure the game is not gonna be the same with you gone you made grouping fun (apart from your deaths ) and helped me enjoy the game through the most boring of times the 30's.

have none of you heard of irish warriors in barrows? these are highest mobs in there i think. they give about 3 times more xp than druids. in 3 man group (me-41, 44 and 45) i was gettin 18mil per kill, then there was about 5 mil camp bonus then 8 mil group bonus (cos they always come in 2s) and you can kill em both in about 45 seconds. quicker than trying to set up/ get in a tanglers group. to get there you goto the tomb wight circle room thing, go down the right hand corridor then when you get in the next room turn left, and they are down there.
