For Zelda you just need the Remote and the Nunchuk and I think the game itself is rather nice. The commands are rather intuitive and even though it makes you smack the air to hit with your sword, you don't have to spin around and remember 20 combos to fight =)

I'm not too far into the game atm (killed first boss and did the wolf -> human morph again), but what I saw now mostly made sense (yes you DO have to run around and try different things to win, but that's part of the fun =) ).

Had no real replay value for me though, the mini games are great a couple of times but lose their novelty pretty quickly as they are rather easy (fishing is quite good tho)
the game got pretty repetative after you complete the first half as you do it all over again in twilight mode as most boss fights are the same :p
side jump side jump twirly thing
or run around till boss stops and shoot something

Its a good game but nowhere near amazing enough to warrant buying a console just to play it
Mario Kart and Smash Bros on the other hand

I initially bought my Wii simply for Zelda and Zelda alone, after completing it once there was indeed no replay value, but have to say playingt through it was great fun, I couldn't put the damn thing down, my views may be slightly clouded as I'm a Zelda freak but I liked almost every second of it (fu fishing).

Worked out well financially too, as I later sold the Wii+Zelda for more than I bought it for (christmas ftw)

(fu fishing).

Fishing quest on the mission for the red carp or whatever it was, was so much harder than the actual fishing missions in the little lake!

But like yourself i couldnt put it down for the first half, second i lost interest a bit

Wii rocks, awesome fun with a group of friends and not bad for single player stuff too (Okami is out soon).

Mario Kart - 12 player online racing, 4 players per Wii - its worth buying a Wii for this reason alone.
