I'm rewatching La Femme, halfway through season 3.

The casting for the main roles was just so damn good, nobody in Nikita has any soul to them on camera, cancelled before end of season ( unless production already finished ) 100% gauranteed.

Why couldn't they fund Kings season 2 instead of drivel like this >.>

Actually also rewatching Le Femme Nikita. Only most way through season 1 though. It is pretty awesome.

It also made me work out what didn't work in the remake 1st ep - in the original, many situations are given time to develop and breathe. There's a lot of rock video shizzle going on in the remake which makes it into a more generic and mundane thriller style.

Everything in the revamp just explodes every twenty minutes. It's not good.

Another problem I have is the intro, we don't need to be told the basic script every time. Also it's shit.

Also Operations sounds so much better than "percy".

Why can Alex hack past the security so easily? Why did Division not change their security protocols in the 2 years Nikita's been out for? Just to many issues to allow suspension of disbelief.

Yeah i'm pretty forgiving and watched ep 2 but it really wasn't any better , I won't bother watching ep3.

Yeh watched second ep a few days ago. Won't be taking this any further unless some Freddy keeps up with it and finds that it turns awesome at some point down the line.

It probably doesn't benefit from watching it in parallel with the original series because all that does is highlight the deficiencies.

Well i like it, it fits a slot in the usual programming that isn't filled with anything better.

Sure, it's not "as good as" prev Nikita(minus the obvious rose tinted stuff), but if you forget the title(much like with new batman etc) and stop comparing(put on fresh goggles), it's as enjoyable as any US programs.

It's somewhere along the lines of burn notice and, what was it, chuck. Light entertainment that shouldn't be looked at too seriously and is perfect for some show to watch while having a late night snack.

It's most likely going to be cancelled, reasons above, too much comparison to previous and it might have succeeded longer if it didn't have "nikita" on it.

Burn Notice has SAM AXE.

It's nowhere near enjoyable ( And I rewatched all 5 seasons of nikita since this thread started finished last night ) - and I never fully watched the series at the time due to its scheduling plus late night/etc and it really is a great series over ~100 episodes there is 1 bad episode and 2 mediocre ones the rest are all really good.

It will never ascend to the levels of awesome that is Sam axe though.

No i haven't been sniffing aids, i just don't think it's that terrible. It's not great, burn notice is better, but i compared how they are both light entertainment, not their quality.

tl;dr - 's alright.

It's not even remotely alright, there isn't a single likeable character and I don't think I picked up any emotion at all from any actors in the first 2 episodes, it's like they think the Mark Wahlberg school of acting is the shit or something.

Download all 5 seasons of La Femme Nikita and watch ^^ Some seriously quality stuff.

I know i know, it's awesomesauce compared, that's why i don't compare this new one to it when i watch it

I guerss all of the character relations, likeability etc are person dependant and can't really argue with that. The story so far is just picking up, so can't say about that(much what was told to me on SG:U ). It has guns, chicks, explosions, funny moments, conspiracy etc etc, popcorn consumption and forget after.

Though after watching new supernatural, the quality of other shows take a nose dive

If you are a fan of the original, as in a FAN fan, don't watch further(ep 4 will make you cry murder)

Still it's good entertainment while waiting for better shows to come out.

If someone is starting this, or wants to continue, it's very simple;

Forget old shows.

It becomes the popcorn muncing hollywood show it is then, in all good/bad at that.

Can't say to the fans of old if they should keep watching, not really sure what they want. Most likely not snce those rose-tinted specticles are hard to take off

Nothing rose tinted about it. I watched both new and old side by side, there was no comparison. Like I said though, if someone keeps watching and the new one improved I'd give it another look, time permitting.
