You need a couple of realm ranks before you get 50 stealth and Lifebane, but in the end it's worth it (I hope)

Diduseeme, I've autotrained to L46 so far and will till i'm 48, so i'll have 77 points more to spend. so my template will be
35 stealth/envenom, 39 pierce, 44 cs, 23 CD, which mean I'll need rr5 for having 50 stealth/envenom

Based on a low rr spec ( rr5-6 ).

34 stealth,
44 pierce,
44 crit,
35 venom,

Tested this out some time ago on gorre, and liked it so much its what i respeced to, all the ppl have have asked my advice ingame about spec have been givin this spec aswell, also quite a lot of the good shades on this server also adopted it, imo its a good and proven spec.

[if u dont have the time or the effort to reach these rr's, u can drop pierce OR crit to 39 depending on individual play style]

do you not need rr7 to get stealth to 50 with that spec? i was thinking of doing that spec only with slightly lower peirce and higher stealth, i would lose the lv 44 style but still manage to get 50 with items and rr, i just cant decide btw is it possible to get a crafted 16.5 rapier with 2.7ish spd? im starting to think 3.5 on balns rapier is too slow, and the only crafted 16.5 rapier ive seen was 3.6

Stealth 34 +11 ( items ) + 5 ( realm rank 6 ) = 50 [49 at realm rank 5, which ive found is fine aswell]

As for a quicker 16.5 rapier , no you cant, but when we get patch 1.54 crafters will be able to make Angled Daggers : 16.5 dps, 2.9 or 3.0 spd ( cant quite remember which ) i myself have ordered two already for when they are craftable

this spec just owns i advise any nightshade to do it at rr5 u wont regret it i know me ebonn and many of the other experianced nightshades love it.

Mmmmm...

I´m tempted with 33 stealth/envenom 39 pierce 44 CS and 26 CD... Having low CD really hurts me a lot. BTW that´s rr7 spec.

Btw it´s damn hard to cap all 5 skills (+11) even with SC, I have tried with some SC program, capping resists, stats and skills is really painful even with MP stuff with 100% qual jewel and 50% overcharging... :/

Hmm well Ive just LvLd my NS to 50 and my spec is:

38 Stealth
38 Envenom
39 Pierce
44 CS


As I progress in realm ranks I can swap out Skill items for Resist Items (or pray that when I reach rr5/6 I get a skill respecc)

I also have 70 pnts unused and am not sure as to wether its worth bringing CD to 12 or so

You'd be surprised how much CD increases your damage output. If you have spare, I'd definately put them in CD

Obli, if you go for 36 in envenom, with +items, you only have to wait till rr4 for lifebane. Obviously you can adjust this +/- depending on your patience heheh
And yes imho the highest level poisons make a big difference in rvr, although with the advent of alchemy you will be able to get proc dots on your weps. The more dots, debuffs, deseases, etc, the better though if you ask me As an NS you need to take targets down as quick as possible and envenom, etc helps an awful lot with this.

No.

I tried a full CD/pierce spec but to be honest it is really bad. The CS styles are very good and the CD styles are very bad. Even with 5+6 CD at level 44 I dual wield pretty often.

Stick with CS and use CD as extra damage.

CS styles have the best style damage bonus's in the game ( apart from Left Axe )

I used to have 58 total pierce i now have 50 total peirce and i dont see any noticeable damage differance , the main thing wep spec over 50 gives is more weaponskill.

lifebane on a player with 40%+ body resist (often) makes about 10points more damage overall only than the 2nd to last poison, FYI

Thing is Nova Crit over 50 gives nice benifits, pierce over 50 dosnt give a great deal.

42 + 9 Pierce
44 + 7 CS
37 + 13 Envenom
6 + 9 DW (Also have DR II)

Works well for me, would like to have DW higher but I didnt see the point in gimping myself by keeping Env/Stealth so low for like 5RR's. It takes a long time and a lot of patience to get that high a RR. At the end of the day I made a shade to enjoy RvR NOW, not at some point in the distant future where I might have a slight edge over people..

Also does anyone have any news on when Mythic are planning to fix WA so we dont have to waste 4 spec points on a totally useless stat. I like WA, Its a great RA, saved my skin a few times, but its sooo expensive. I know WA was meant to be a mage skill, for those bloody AE dots Spiritmasters get etc. Looks like us poor Shades got another raw second hand deal. Oh well, maybe in v1.80Z

guei, if your a lurikeen, stick with pierce due to higher dex with this race and the dex/str formula for piercing. If your Elven, blades is a viable option though.
