The purpose of bladeshade is not to /duel fellow pierce NS...

They go for blade is to have a better edge in dmg vs infil (neutrel to slash) and SB (Vunerable to slash) .

As pierce vs Infil (Resistant) and SB (Resistant). And also the 4.1spd bastard sword (good PA dmg)


But then, they are badly crippled when being str/con debuffed be it with or without buffed.

Best spec until lvl 20 (for respec) is to go only pierce and envenom. keep envenom at lvl with some nice +env items and rest pierce...that dot totally rox on low lvl. The DD is allso very good at lower lvls.

If you going bg1, stop env at 15-16 and repec pierce at 20 and get 21CS 19stealth rest pierce. Lvl 24 bg spec

yup bladeshaes are pretty sucky without buffs.

Actually NS are pretty crap without buffs
but with buffs totally uber.
Tested some with my hero vs NS many times both unbuffed and buffed. When no buffs I pwn NS easy without loosing allmost any hp at all. When both buffed NS kick my ass most times...it's all about buffs...sigh

Personally I think not. The 44 CS style I love, CD makes a HUGE difference to damage-over-time output ... and I tend not to agree about the pierce above 50 thing and would only go marginally over 50 with rr. I have no probs whatsoever with my 51 modified pierce.

Id prolly go the old spec of:

44 pierce
44 cs
34 envenom
35 stealth
rest cd

but since i auto trained till 44 id prolly get 44/44/35/35

Peirce 42
CS 44
Stealth 35
Envenom 34
CD 16
