Ok quite a while ago I had this dream over 3 nights which really freaked me out for a couple of weeks.

This is kinda hard to explain but I try...

I had this 1 particular dream about a vampire and still kinda freaks me out.
This dream I had was over 3 nights continuous and it wasn't the same dream over and over, it was more like a carry on from the previous night.
Every night for 2 weeks I woke up with a swet after those 3 nights of horror and during the 2 weeks I was so freaked out I was looking up at the sky at night time and looking around behind me etc (I dont know why just that the dream really shitted me up)... Now this dream happened to me about 15 year ago and I still remember it clearly and still kinda freaks me out.

So anyone have any weird dreams?

I had 3 last night... Yes 3...

1) Was at a friends house, and had to leave (my dad was there, who I've not seen in like, 2 years) and we caught a train, got onto a train and he vanished and I was left alone... Suddently two guys were talking to me and tried to mug me. But I managed to get them away.

2) Walked in to a friends place unable to speak, and I fell asleep there (them making a move on me, but I was out of it in the dream) then I got up and threrw up and had to get changed, which took ages in the dream. (Inablity to move hands properly) - I know the person in the dream. (There were more than one, waking up I saw a few and I knew them)

3) Was based in a train again, was sitting infront of the train (inside) with my legs crossed, approaching a station which was one from where I wanted to get off, got up, look around then sat back down and waited for my stop. Didn't get to it, was just sitting infront of the train again.

I know it's hard to do but writing down a dream the second you wake up can really help you understand exactly what's going on, even for nightmares. I did it for some nights and would suggest starting writing at the earliest part of the dream and from then on, your brain will carry on the tale until you've remembered a very good portion of it.

Seeing things written down and described can help you logically pick apart what went on in the dream. Plus they sound great when you read them back a few months later :D

the only nightmare i can remember that really freaked me out was when i was 8-9 or so, was trapped in the greenhouse in the garden, in the middle of the night, and there were clowns and stuff (evil ones etc! :>) all staring at me etc through the glass surrounding me trying to get in, i mean i couldnt sleep for weeks after that! ;s kind of interested to know what triggered that tho, cant remember what i was doing that day ;/

kinda wonder how these things occur tho, get some real dodgy ones randomly sometimes when theres nothing serious going on etc, little to no worries and then you get some random crap that you wake up and think wtf? :> rarely get nightmares/dreams tho, only a couple or so a year i reckon, but then again, isnt there some logic that you forget most dreams shortly after waking up?

am pretty sure everybody has had one nightmare they'll never forget :) whether they'll share it or not is a different matter

yes the past week my dreams have been WTF crazy. ive either eaten a bowl of cottage cheese or a tub of quark before bed. if you cant afford drugs, id recommend eithe one. the dream really does feel like the same length of time youve been asleep, and it is crazy shit. i find dreams usually fill gaps in my life or act out things im missing. like i havent seen one of my friends for a couple weeks. if its really fucking me off i dream that i spending time with them and in my waking hours i dont feel so shitty anymore. im a firm believer dreams can help you resolve issues in waking life.

the worst things about dreams/nightmares, is when you wake up and cant figure out if it really happened. I actually managed to call one of my friends and asked if he had found my shoes (They've never been missing, apart from in my dream)

watching this video when I've had nightmares, makes me all happy again though :p

Got 2 nightmares i still remember even tho i had em well over 10 years ago.

1. When i was in kindergarden there was a room where we used to read books. my dream was i was locked in this room with my little brother. and then he died (o_0, i blame violent TV!!) and his blood started filling up the room. it wouldnt stop. the walls became red (like a good ol' horror movie). untill it was about halfway full and i woke up :eek7:

2. A few years back we had 2 dogs (rottveilers. realy nice dogs). and i was talking a walk with the biggest one. THEN he saw another dog and started running. with me beeing rather small i couldnt stop him and i actually started to "fly" (like a drake realy), higher and higher, untill the line snapped and i fell to the ground.......and woke up

Im sure ive had worse nightmares, but those are the ones ive had REPEATLY (both of em, and they where exatly the same each time). and still remember. :)

I've puzzled over dreams. I occasionally have dreams that are just.. completely random. Nothing in them correlates to anything in my life whatsoever. Then i can have a dream that is so close to reality that like someone else said, i can wake up still beleiving that it all happened.

I wish i knew what the reason for the variation of dreams was. Or what purpose dreams actually serve (Humans aren't the only beings to dream, so it must be something that evolved early on).

dreams are to keep you sane and let you carry on with waking life imo. for me at least, as it helps me to stop dwelling on things during the day. i also find for example if im missing someone a lot, i may dream im with them and i wake up feeling happier. sure i wasnt WITH them in reality, but spending time with this person which my brain is controlling is enough to make me feel better. i dont know about anyone else, but i can have conversations, sensations, hear things etc in my dreams so it really is like ive done something.

edit: just realised ive already posted something exactly the same further up. :(

what we dream about, is based upon the stuff that is hidden away in our unconscious mind, so it can be quite random :)

Dont hang me up on this though, but I've heard it somewhere.

Two things happen in sleep, it gives us rest and the brain takes up the information and shuffles it like a highgrade disk cleanup.

The rest. It gives eyes, body(which locks up completely, and do mean completely) and the thinking process a moment to rest.

The shuffling happens in a few things. The brain takes all the information seen and processes it. Lockers it up and discards the useless. Maintenance while you sleep, automated and all. Handy.

It also allows the "thinking" part of the brain process the things again, to see if you missed something "vital"(this dependant on what you're preference of "vital" is), and so forth.

So basically, sleep/dreams are a flash of non-permasaved images going whirlywhurly in your brain as the brain keeps you sane.

I tend to act out my bad dreams when sleeping which is quite a bad thing, I've kicked and punched in the air and sometimes i'll accidently catch the misses, and then i'm in shit all the next day for "kicking" her :/

Recently I have been having alot of vivid bad dreams, I don't remeber what they were about but I just know many were unpleasent, I am not sure why, nothing's really changed recently.

I had a horrible dream the other night.

My Dad died irl last October and my dream was that he came back from the dead and tryed to reunite the family. I could see the dood was an imposter and I upset the whole family doing it in the dream.

Must be due to his anniversary coming up in a few weeks :(

any dream like that must be the worst you can have..

does have something to do with reality not just getting chased by a vampire or a demon..

I had a really weird one last night.

It started off fairly nice with me and my family off to a jumble sale or school fair or combination of both. I met a really nice gentleman there who was connected with the school somehow and for some reason I decided to go exploring wearing rollerblades. So I rollerblade up the largest and longest staircase I could possibly imagine with the gentleman running after me and telling me to come back.

When I get to the top I find a labyrinth of coridoors with lots of rooms. I knock on a door and enter one of the rooms and find a whole bunch of people reading books with a lady presiding over them. She tells me off for knocking and I apologise and leave.

Then I find a coridoor then follow it and it leads me to some kind of monster train station with trains that take you all over the world. Now I am trying to find my way back to the fair thing at the start of the dream and I am totally lost. I start hearing train attendants talk about people hiding in the tunnels where the trains run, then someone chases me into one of those tunnels and they're very slippy and very steep and I start sliding down tunnels while hearing voices of other people in there with me but out of sight, sharing tips on how to navigate.

Weird stuff!

"Then it comes to be that the soothing light at the end of your tunnel
Is just a freight train coming your way."

Seems apt.

Train dreams reminded me of a dream i had that cracks me up still when i think of it.

Was going on a train, sat down on a saet, a moment later the conductor came and asked for a ticket.

I produced the ticket, he looked at it and went(which is the really, oddly enough, funny as f*ck part):

"Oh no, you're seat is not here, it's in the smoking section, next to Elvis." :D

I've been taking a break from my usual "dream controlling" and been having really weird dreams.

Last night, i was in an escalator, and these two, middleaged ladies were infront of me, blocking the whole thing. It was a LOOOONG escalator. I stood behind them, getting angrier and angrier about their jibberjabber and then finally, stated calmly as can "Move already..." kicked one of the ladies in the back, sending her tumbling down the escalator stairs.

Woke up about there. Oddly satisfying too.

My dream have been shite lately, basically driving to the boat to go to Amsterdam (which I'm going to on Tuesday) and either forgetting my passport, clothes, ticket, forgetting to shower or some other boring crap like that. Similar dream about that keeps re-occuring for like 3 nights now.

The only dream that has ever freaked me out was a dream i had as a child
roughly age 4 or 5. now here's the funny part, it wasnt a nightmare, and it didnt scare me at the time. and no! it's not an adopted memory, this really happend and i told my dad about it when he woke me up, and he can coloberrate it.

now the morning i had this dream i was about 4½ or 5, and i was in the later stages of malaria "due to a misdiagnostic" they thought it was a more commom version but turned out to be falciparum malaria.

now the dream it self.
well, I dreamt that i was walking on a peer at dusk or dawn "not sure wich" and i'm met with 3 guys dressed in black with hoods, "cant see thier faces"
they arent scary infact they are very kind to me, they leed me to a small boat and ask me if i want to get on and sail away or not, "they do not say to where, or why, and dont attempt to force me in any way. I decline not sure why. and i wake up, but have trouble opening my eyes for a fe seconds, and i call my dad to let him know i'm awake and i tell him about my funny dream.

now then here's the scary part. at that age i had never been subjected to any kind of "religiouse thinking or god or life after death or any such thing.
and that very same day, my parrents got the phone call that i had been misdiagnosed and the doctor who examined me told my parrents that i was very lucky to still be alive "taking the duration of the illness into consideration"

still scares the shit out of me,
ps: I'm not religiouse in any way shape or form

I use to dream and a while after had a feeling that everything was weighed down. It doesn't sound scary but it felt as though every step I took was hard and heavy and so on.

Freaked me out atleast :(
