Darn, I got killed by a purple hib when I was there when I was lvl 30ish. Didn't know it was a tradition to post about it on their forum and moan.

If I had known I would have remembered his name..

I got attacked by a purple con Middie in DF when I was about lvl 35.

The guy had some big kahoonas coming all the way up to the Alb merchants, and it was sweet that I managed to get the killing blow in, and a screenie of it is my proudest kill.

I was also ganked when sitting down with about 2 hits left exping out in the frontiers, getting nice outpost bonuses.
Mightily pissed off for about 5 minutes, but shit happens.

It just reinforces the fact that all Hibs and Mids are our mortal enemies and will be given no quarter by me at any time, be they grey or be they purp (*).

Be my last posting and i am sorry to hear albs like to kill hibs in DF while they are busy pulling mobs. I never do that, i at least let them get XP/loot then attack.

Maybe you never do hun, but I think everyone here can remember an incident where one of your brethren did do that to them.

I remember thinking it was realy unfair, since he was purple and I would have been grey, but that was before someone explained to me the workings of DF a bit better. Before that I just thought once the Albs have it, its just a place open for us, and not a mutual sort of battleground with rotating entrance system, with the posibility of hibs or mids lurking about.

Didn't go back there for some time after that incident.

Constant generalizations like "the albs" based upon the actions of some people and the good "Hibs" who would of course NEVER do that kind of stuff is even more immature than killing grey cons. Think about it.

Proves I was lucky to get the last 5 HP off a lvl 50 Middie who took on a grey con and lost!

Feel free to laugh. Level 35 showing "you have just killed ..." makes me laugh anyway.
Maybe I was a bit overzealous saying "proudest screenie" ... I don't hang it over my mantlepiece or anything!
