True or False!? your thoughts.

YouTube - 3600 year orbit cycle of Planet X Nibiru

Discuss.

Personally I don't believe it.. I believe Nibiru exists BUT I don't believe that will happen.

Apparently it goes something like this... Nibiru basicly takes 3600 years or so to orbit our planet and when it goes past our planet its SO close it pretty much destroys it and kills everything on earth.

If it happens it happens :) sweet FA we can do about something that size hitting or scraping us.. unsure exactly how big Nibiru is although i've read around the net its about 15-20% larger than earth is.

Edit: I guess scientists have until 2012 to come up with some sort of weapon that can destroy planets lol :p

If it's in an orbit that brings it close to earth, real close, it could very well be a periodic cluster-f*ck.

I'm not gonna discount this as the "next major event"(couldn't watch far enough to see when this is supposed to come back).

It's probably nothing about gods, ancient evil etc, that's just maya talk and egypt talk(they couldn't explin it better), but per example, tides, gravity f*cks, etc....well...it's very much possible.

It all boils down to what the orbit is.

Also, this planet starting us, creating life, also possible.

Could be that it's an electrically charged planet etc etc etc...endless possibilities.

It's a well documented thing that civilizations have been clusterf*cked in the past.

Also i don't think it wipes out all life, i thin it's more of a "kick down a notch". We are getting better at protecting ourselves from this all the time, mayans, egyptians etc, they had underground tunneling already and we got nuclear shelters up the wazoo.

We might be f*cked, but we'll be fine.

Also if the cycle does fit, the mayan calendar does end at the same time.

EDIT: Also the irnoy of karma is just admirable. If this is true, nibiru will f*ck us up RIGHT after i get completely out of debt :D

if it is coming back 2012 surely astronomers would be able to see it coming closer now?

Remember the day the world was supposed to end according to Nostradamus, and surprisingly, it didn't.

It's an interesting theory though!

Accordig to the doomsayers, it's behind the sun...again.

I just find the possibility "not far fetched" that a lpanet would f*ck us up, with such an orbit. Most likely there are some cekestial objects orbiting our "solar gravity point"(not sun) that have this kind of ranges.

So within the next 3 and a bit years its going to get round the sun and round us?

Seems quite a short time to get such a distance. It took what over 3 years to reach Mars when we were at the closest point which is closer than the sun.

I'm rather scepticle about this tbh, surely it would have been spotted by now or before it went behind the sun. We have been watching the stars for a long time now

Oh aye like i said, the timeframe is a bit off it seems.

But, about watching the stars, it seems we're only watching officially at 3% of the sky.

But a planet larger than Earth heading towards us, surely someone would notice that

I just cant believe that there is no hard proof on this

How much energy would it take to get something as big as Earth or slightly bigger off orbit you recon?

Some scientist said(heard from grapevine or some such), that we could deter the orbit of an asteroid easily as sending a 2 ton metal chunk to fly besides it.

But ofcourse, asteroid ain't no planet.

I'd imagine, something along the size of a moon or two.

There is no such planet. Its just loonies using mythology and getting confused.

Well, i wouldn't say "there's no such planet", more say "it's not coming in 4 years" is a better way.

There could very well be a planet out there that has a long long orbit, like that..halleys comet thing?

If it even ahs a 200 year orbit, well, we wouldn't know.

theres no proof that theres no such planet.
i wonder what proof they have that it destroys everything every 3600 years though.

the only theory i go for is the mayan calander end date of december 12, 2012.
i reckon something major will happen then, and if it doesnt then ive not lost anything. but i also wont waste any time searching new theories. its likely the only one i will ever believe untill some scientific facts about something come along.

False!

I remember hearing about this "planet X" bollocks a few years ago, back then it was people saying it was what killed off the dinosaurs. Now its every 3600 years?

I dont believe it, its just scare-mongering and sensationalisation. If the planet was behind the sun from our point in the solar system then it would be visible to these other long-range satellites they send out - clearly visible if its as big as they say and as close as that.

If it was the size of jupiter but a solid mass then I dont see how the sun's gravity can possibly continue to influence it enough to pull it back at the other end of its '3600 year' orbit. The only way a 3600 year orbit would work is if it was small in mass and a long, long way out in the solar system: Pluto takes 250ish years to go around the sun, to put things in perspective.

Halleys comet's highly elliptical orbit only works because it has next to no mass, and even then, its orbit is something like 80 years - it never really gets that far away from the sun - certainly nowhere near the distance a 3600 year orbit would take it.

Its just flawed science imo.

Why does everything have to be a conspiracy? or an end-of-the-world-as-we-know-it event?

Planet X aka Nibiru was supposed to hit earth in 2003. So if that thing has an orbit of 3600 years how can it come for earth in 2012? Unless it decided to have a few years break of orbiting somewhere.
I can imagine that the bio break of a planet takes a bit longer then a human bio break

I'm not disbuting that the 2012(this one) is false(even if mayan calenar is worth wait), i'm saying that there very well can be objects in a revolving pattern.

If the suns mass(well actually the gravitational point of the system, as sun is orbiting it too :p) isn't enough to bring it back, it could very well have an 8 pattern.

So many planets and such out there, and so little history to compare it on, that you can't say "No!".

It's not going to kill us all... simple.

Lets face it, if I'm right, woohoo but if I'm wrong, no-ones going to be alive to say ner ner ner anyway... ;)

Well it never did kill EVERYone, so if there is mass destruction, i'll take a photo of this, then survive at all costs to make a "Cult of Ner Ner at Kirennia" :D

Aye, what I was thinking is that they said its a reaccurring event correct? if its reaccurring and it truely does pass that close to earth/the moon surely one of them would have been destroyed by now?? and if it hit earth (like they claim in other places) the earth would have been destroyed long before.

It'd be the equivelent of a bowling ball being dropped onto a melon... don't need to paint a picture to tell you how that ends :p. Wheres Joor when you need him, he'd be loving this thread lol.

Well, they claim it wiped the dinosaurs out 65,000,000 years ago. If you divide 65,000,000 by 3600 its just over 18000 times... you'd think something that size passing the earth over 18000 times over the course of 65,000,000 years there would be more mention of it :)

We'll see what happens in 2012.. if the planet exists fine great we get a nice show to watch like the odd eclipse we get now again :) the world won't end tho.

Well, try finding stuff beyond 3600 years now.

It's "mumbojumbo" to "modern science". Like dragons. Are dragons real now 'cause we've mentioned them in the previous 3000 years?

Just pointing out, we know sh*t all about our history and it's been rewritten so many times, i doubt even the guy who wrote it knows if it's true.

Also, again, world isn't ending civilization is getting a hit.

If we're discussing cooky theories, let's keep it in check :D

not all history is like that.
there is primary evidence sources written at certain times in history that still exist.

such as paintings in cave walls, egyptian parchments, diaries of events written by people at a certain time. like the saxon chronicle for example.

if something happened 3600 years ago we would be able to tell by gaps in the primary sources of evidence. 3600 years isnt even a long time in terms of our history. take roughly 2000 off and were at 1AD. go back to 1000BC and youve got massive civilizations still about. go back to 5000bc and youve got cilizations inventing things left and right. if the world got wiped every 3600 years we wouldnt of got anywhere.

im not the one to go check though, since i dont believe this whole thing anyway.

actually lets work with it. 2012 - 3600 = roughly 1600BC.

go look around for something at that time, theres shit loads of stuff going on. just a local example is stonehenge was being modified in 1600BC. surely if the planet got wiped out and everyone died then this wasnt possible...

Why do people keep insisting on the "kill EVERYONE!", it's not planet hitler for christs sake.

And the human race has survived some big events.

Just saying that a planet on a mars-earth between orbit is possible. Hell, that shining star in the bible could be it too.

But it is close to planet of the apes. Oh, just in case, anyone up for bulding some secret Umbrella underground lab? Preferably in the north pole.

Messed up our orbit of the solar system by now if its happened that many times?

Convince the Yanks that there´s oil under the surface and - on top of that - there´s an Al Quaeda trainingscamp on that planet and they will find a way to stop it.
Simple.
