While fighting at the amg last night in emain (yes boring I know), I found myself standing next to Niar.
He then started chatting to me, and told me that it was Najwa playing this account, and judging from the stuff he told me, I believed him.
Has Najwa taken over this account for good?

What makes me suspicious was that he called me by the nickname I used back on battle.net from my old Diablo II days, where I knew Najwa (or Tenshi as he was then). I've not used that nickname on DaoC. I seriously doubt it was Soulfly.

Niar sold his account. Presumably either Najwa bought it or has had access granted to it by whoever did.

Like I said in a previous thread on this matter you cannot take a single rule GOA lays down seriously if it is common knowledge that the highest ranked infiltrator on Albion sold his account and yet whoever bought it carries on playing like nothing has happend. Going by what you say the account is being passed around between several people which is a shame because Niar was a very well respected RvR fighter. I can understand why he sold it though given the amount of money he was rumoured to get for it.

One should think Kemor would read this thread...
or rather the other fifty "Niar sold his account" threads/posts that have been discussed before.

I agree with Revz here... thumbs down, GOA.

Niar = Najwa?? <-- nope, real niar(me) also had a lvl50 armsman called Thiralith quite early on, sold my account to Malle (lvl50 skald in mid), which apparently sold it to equal (that had a 46+ ish hunter in mid) and also he played Tupp in alb (wiz). If equal has passed over logins and stuff/or sold I don't know.

Trouble is always going to be proving it was sold and not 'Mum got a new credit card' or 'the player changed ISP and got a new IP address' and so on.... there are so many excuses people could give. GOA must err on the side of caution and if they cannot prove someone's guilt without any doubt then they can't ban players.. if they did without absolute proof there would be uproar.

Uhm... maybe - but it's a well known fact (since weeks...) that Niar isn't Niar anymore. And still the new 'owner' runs around in-game.

The former owner even admitted selling his account.
Gee... how much more proof do you need?

Sicko (tm) believe me when I say that I would be jolly happy to traded characters banned - too many bloody level 50s who don;t know their ass from their elbows out there. Simple fact is, though, that all we have is hearsay - Niar said it was so? We consider having a siggy of Niar on BW as proof that they owned the character before? Nothing is proof enough, which really is sad.

<resists the urge to flame Najwa regardless of whether it's him or not>

ah, that might explain why he came up to me and started bugging me about my sword, trying to get me to give away my spare. at first i thought "weird, heard good stuff about this guy and i know his BW sig has 2 lvl 50s, surely he can get one himself and knows what the sword is", but i guess that explains alot.

and to this, well i guess there is proof, they can easily check the ip's logged on with. ok so if there on 56k that changes per connection, but not drastically with the same ISP and the area you are in. tis possible, just they cant be arsed i guess
