no game inbalance at all when it comes to hib (who are a VERY strong realm class wise) ... the inbalance is population.. not class issues.

hmm well

dunno why people dont play hib then, i first started this game on hib/excal, loved it, but mates moved to mid/pryd and had to follow them :< wish i didnt now, hib land > mid land imho, and the classes are a lot more fun too ;o

New players chose Albion most often, and to a lesser extent Midgard because they recognize the names and concepts, with Hib they dont.

i think its right that albs have biggest population because peopleare more know to arthur and his knight mates. and the round table n stuff....

i think they choose mid second . cos they like the idea of playing trolls n norseman and other tough. evil sounding chars/classes. the class names for mid imo are a pulling point for newbs who just starting out in the game.
savage . beserker . shadowblade , warrior .... sound a lot more enticing than arsman / paladin / hero and champ

im sure if everybody started off with knowledge of the game that they have now . they may of started off in another realm. i love my friar n scout . but if i could re-roll and all my chars would be same level/rr/ml etc etc i know i would of considered re-rolling.

ts just all the time n effort i have put into my chars thats stops me from /deete and reroll.

The client you use for connecting to the open Beta is the same as the one you'll use for connecting to the live server when NF is released. The only difference will be the update.dat file which will be the one you use for connecting to the normal servers rather than the one you use to connect to Gorre.

Prydwen-Hibernia... tss whole of prydwen is underpopulated gonna be hard finding fights in NF me thinks.. Considering that during Beta there was 1500 players online(some where BBs and that was real tragic to see) and most of em out in the frontiers. Still finding the enemy was really hard even though you got some nice map to show where there is keeptaking going on. 1500 is like max nr of players on prydwen these days and tbh that is very rare to see.. often 800-900 is online. and if your having trouble finding the enemy with 1500 people online imagine a Frontier with no emain as a main spot for all to hang in and only 800-900 players online (many of em also doing pve and crafting etc) NF for prydwen will be a ghost zone me thinks..

GOA is missing a massive opportunity to market DAoC in the UK with the releases of NF + Catacombs. Other than the odd review in PC Gamer there has been no marketing at all over here, for any of the releases so far. Some of my friends at work are real online games fans, but they've never heard of DAoC. Thankfully I've put em straight and 2 of em currently enjoying their new characters atm.
