Retarded, lame Midgard will break it time and time again anyway, so why bother?
Albs will take relics prime time, and Mids will take it off peak due to population imbalances and other lies.
I really doubt Albion will dominate the server once NF hits, mainly cause Midgard has so many 24/7 players. Albion is more casual.

All I know is that I won't be the first to relic raid off peak hours when NF comes Got lots of nice plans coming up that I'd like to try and I'd sure like to try 'em at peak hours. In the end I'm pretty sure that the server won't hold for major prime time raids and someone will take the relics off peak hours, but it won't be me.

One more thing: 00.00 GMT is 01.00 CET (CET being the time zone which most mids live in). Albs have never really gotten the hang of this time zone thingie, and surely they will (as always) raid at 00.00 claiming it's prime time.

For the record. There IS a couple of differences between US an EU. We will not have the "same" NF as the yanks.

Like with ToA. The yanks have beta-tested our game for us. Tactics will be available from start of NF... Read yank forums.

Excal gankgroups have had more time to prepare for the new enviroment. Although a number may dissapear, due to NF-mechanics (lack of tank-role, and more), I think GG will not die that easily on Excal as on US-servers.

And as realms, we have a warning. A too long warning it feels like sometimes... Mid, which suffered GREATLY due to lack of ranged toons in US, will not underperform THAT much in EU. There are lots of "young" rm's and dark sm's theese days. I hear that there was this one guy in alb that started a sorc too... And One is rumored to have rolled a ranger in hib...

Lastly we are better players... From what I have seen.

For the other record... There is NOT a signed agreement of not doing AC-RR presently. Still such raids is not widespread from my experience. I firmly belive that something is holding, for instance, albs back. I do not belive that they are incapable of pulling of a AC-raid. I belive that they choose not to. Why...

There are several possible reasons. I belive that the consensual understanding in the "lameness" of it is a big factor. It may ofc be the plat-cost of maintaining Relickeep-doors, or bad organisation, servers not handling Herbal-sized AC-raids or smth else...

I belive that what is really holding them back is the "lame" part... Kudos for that. We (mids) have the power thanks to it.

That beeing said. I am looking forward to join RR and keeptakes night and day, well I don't play nights but nm. The array of possible tactics will be interesting, and I hope that the "leaders" of all realms are up to try out a few.

Had it been possible to "force" such an agreement on Excal... Prolly not. But if "agreed" upon, it MAY had held back some ppl, like Albs currently...-> Lame factor. You WILL see a number of the albs, claiming mid "Lameness" when we claim their pow relic on the late night raid 13'th of october. With this thread we can now say that too many disagree on a "honorable" approch, and enjoy the %. (edit.. Clipse is allowed to gloat though missed that one) Mid have, like Glottis pointed out, a higher 24/7 crowd and are better equipped to defend relics even at night...

We have a more defined server peek... Not THAT many time-zones to think of... (some "few" russians maybe). Thereby IN MY understanding it's a more viable option to suggest a EU "prime time" compared to US. But as earlier mentioned THE dilemma is to limit other ppl "playstyle".

Tbh, i doubt Alarmclock raids will be that much of a problem in NF since they are never very large - and in NF you will need to take down 4 of 7 keeps to open the gate to the relic temple. Doing that without a significant part of your realm behind you will take so much time that the defenders, even late at night, should be able to mount an effective defence (remeber sieges in NF are much more complicated affairs then presently).

I bet we get a re-run of classic Relic Taking namely the overpopulated Albs yet again start the alarm clock relic raiding, once Mid copies an Alb Alarm Clock raid, Albs become all righteous and whine like feck for next three years whilst they hold no relics.

Or Mythic will feel sorry for Albs and give them some new l33t skills to complement their Zerg mentality, like the Necro "l33t" skills, the paladin/minstrel "l33t" skills. I also heard Albs have asked Mythic for the ability to see Mid /as cos Albs are fed up of having to buy Mid/Excal chars on Ebay.

i remember somthing about 212 mids? or somthing like a saturday morning at 0700 CET ?

No, that's always been my opinion when it comes to relicraids. And will always be. Pure stupidity to even try to make up these 'rules' and tell ppl when they are allowed to make a relicraid, and not..

Think it will be that albs gets the relics at primetime and mids come and take em at 4-5am when albs are sleeping because they have an real life. Then when all albs r back from work at ca 17-18pm they will get em again and mids again at 4-5am. And hibs hmm dunno maybe 20 minutes long if mid zerg isnt big.

I think its lamer to attempt a couple of primetime raids, fail abysmally, complain that it as unfair and due to spies (and not piss poor planning) and then switch to a time when everyones in bed to try.

Hibs are still sitting with the stick up their ass moaning about how they've got l33t skillz because they don't do early morning RR's - but we should all run in 1fg so they can farm us easier.

In any case, there's never been an agreement as such. Thats just a fabrication of peoples imaginations to use as ammo when sombody does RR 'off-peak' (afterall why just call sombody lame? When you could accuse them of breaking 'teh agreement' as well )

What I mean is that to tar a whole realm with one brush is very naive and ignorant. Some people in these realms choose to do alarm clock raids, and quite franlky thats up to them.

It's all very well getting the general concencus of an unofficial forum population and hammering out an agreement which a very small percentage of the actual game community will ever see or even hear of, but none of us have the right to speak for all our realm mates.

For example, I work 5PM till 10PM. It's 10:30PM by the time I've got home, and 11:30PM by the time I've eaten and showered. It may well be 12:00PM before I log on (it may well be 10:31, but bare with me). I generally play for about 3 hours when I get home, bringing us to about 3:00AM.. so does that mean that I have to for-go participating in a part of the game because some people dissaprove of it? Noone has the right to tell me or anyone else that we can't go on a relic raid at whatever time of day.

For the record I think alarm clock raids suck, and it's a pretty lame way to cicumvent the enemies defences, but if there was a raid on when I got home from work, I'd go on it; there is a difference, if you can see it.

One more point, the Mids suck for Alarm clock raiding, and Albs suck for Alarm clock raiding argument is getting rather old. Especially the 'holier than though' attitude adopted by some people of either realm (see quote), since both realms have done it, and I have seen the result of Alb login raids which are just as bad.

To sum up this rambling: you can't force people to play how you want them to, however much you dislike their methods. I dislike people who hide 1P potions in with the 1g ones, but people still do it. I dislike being stunned from stealth and then PA'd by a buffedtotheballs infil, but people still do it. I hate being run over by 3 groups of enemies at 3am*, but people still do it. A lot happens in this game that is beyond our control.. but at the end of the day, that's DaoC. Live with it

And mids frequently posted stating that 9am UK time was actually 10am cet, what is your point exactly?

Love to know where you get your numbers that most of mid is in CET.
