As has been rumoured for the last week, Mythic has finally stepped out and acknowledged the next boxed expansion pack: Catacombs.

http://www.mythicentertainment.com/press/catacombs.html

As many people guessed, it will feature 'private' dungeons that are only accessable by your group. No more camping problems. :)

It'll also introduce a new class into each realm, and upgrade the gfx engine to the latest one they have acquired.

Good stuff.

which i wont be doing...unless Mythic do their normal trick of adding in things, i gotta have to be able to still compete in RvR (drops etc)....which i hope they dont!

I wonder what the requirements to run it are, that new model gfx thing looks very demanding from the screens I've seen.

I doubt theres any screenshots of the expansion in progress but looking at screenshots of the graphic engine beeing used and what it can do tells alot of what sort of computer you will be needing.

I think its a great idea for casual players who need xp groups.

To many moderna groups and guild pl groups about now, no "real" xping goes on anymore.

Its cut from a painting, The Scream by Edvard Munch, from 1893. Don't ask me about it, I just thought it reminded me of the "Ö" letter, think of it as a funneh smily ;P

And the screenies was from the link Mrmiff kindly posted, same engine.
