New WAR Community Manager

Greetings!

I'm happy to introduce myself as an English Community Manager for Warhammer Online in Europe. Most of you probably know IainC who's done great things for this community. He will be continuing doing so, but with me at his side (no, not that way!).

Joining the Community Management team here at GOA has been exciting and a cause for celebration for me. I'm further thrilled to become an active member of this strong player community.

Together, we will surely go through periods of hardship as well as glorious moments of triumph. Just as real life. And just as in real life, it's the willingness to share all of this which make a relationship or a community great.

So where do I come from? Well, I'm 27 years old, of Swedish roots. I've been a compulsive gamer since my early school years, but I've simultaneously pursued other ways of being intimate with this life.

Again, I very much look forward to the great times we have ahead, together. Feel free to ask me anything, and please never hesitate to contact me personally through PM's. Once I get my CM e-mail sorted out, I'll share this with you, too.

Just like to say welcome to Magnus who will be working with me at Goa. As we get closer to launch and as the beta continues to grow and grow, the community becomes more important and more demanding. Magnus will be a valuable member of our team and I'm sure you'll all make him welcome.

Hi Magnusk,

First off, thanks for taking the time to post here. Although it's not an official channel for news and announcements, the daoc gm's almost always came here and gave updates etc for server outages, problems etc. That was always appreciated

Will you specialise in one part of community management more so than Requiel (i cant call him IainC due to legal issues)...or do you both have the same job roles? I ask with regards to any questions we have.

One or two of my guild who I put into the guild beta have gotten invites by the random draw. I'm hoping I will be able to swap them out for someone else when the guild beta phase does finally start.

I'd like to think it was due to my competence and personal skills I got the job but deep down, I know it's only a cover for the true reason: beard growth.

We know some of the guild lists are not up to date and are looking at possible solutions to this. As of yet, the details on how the guild beta invitations will be undertaken hasn't been finalised though. We will, naturally, keep you updated on this as soon we know more.
