I am gonna get a new TV and have my heart set on a Samsung LED back lit. They have a stunning picture and the only major weakness seems to be sound bit i think i will get a Surround Sound set up for it too.

I am getting either a Series 8 or a Series 7 Other than Contrast the major difference seems to bee 200mhz vs 100mhz with about £300 being the price difference. Does anyone have a 200mhz TV and is the difference worth the well difference ;)

For most ordinary everyday purposes, you won't notice a thing between 100Hz and 200Hz.

The difference might be in the near future if/when 3D content comes along. Having a TV with high refresh rate opens up possibilities for using active shutter 3D glasses as opposed to polarised lenses. Sony have stated that the PS3 will be updated to enable 3D blurays in the near future... probably for Avatar later this year.

Fairly sure all the 3d tv's announced go the polarised route, so I don't think the shutter option will be widely used at all.
