im kinda new to makin web sites through html and i want the easy way out lol. Whats the best software where i can setup a basic site w/ the main page and links at the side w/ some flashy stuff. You know, the basic stuff. Where can i find it to make my barrysworld site?

Right.
i have progressed a bit and now do a lot of work by hand - for javascript and suchlike.

However, for starting off:

try out Dreamweaver from http://www.macromedia.com
and look at the source code when you've finished.

Also, get HTML lib from http://www.htmllib.com - it's a huge help file - very well laid out - with references for every html object, thereby allowing you to press ahead.

Don't use Microsoft Frontpage. Or Word.

Dreamweaver if you're a wysiwyg kind of person (assumedly you are, going on you wanting the 'easy way out' - its also easy for newbies tbh)

Homesite is my preferred however, while it requires more knowledge of HTML, it does provide much of it if you can be arsed looking.

And its got a nice UI :)

Use php it is much better
I use a program where I make all the pages online so saving the stupid ftp upload times
