TV New telly

Missus wants us to get a new TV (I know, she's awesome right?) and I'm torn between two Samsungs; question, is the UE40D6100 (the 3D 200MHz one), worth an extra €100 over the UE40D5520 (not 3D, 100MHz)? Anyone know?

I guess it depends if you want 3D or not!
I like this one from the Samsung Range: UE40D6530

It's a bit more than the other one you mentioned but it's a 400Hz 3D model!
And it barely has any surrounding edges...

Too expensive. I'm not really bothered about 3D, so its really whether the 200MHz gives a measurable refresh rate quality improvement over the cheaper version.

I think the higher refresh rate is because of the fact it needs it for viewing 3D...

think its just 2x100 if you get my meaning so each view is blinked alternatively ... so its the same as the 100mhz normal one ... is how i understand it .. could be wrong tho hehe

Hmm, that's the one to get alright, based on all the reviews and the feature set (the one I was looking at doesn't have all the smarthub stuff and dlna streaming). Found a competitive price on Pixmania but the delivery is €62!
