You are missing the fact that thanes DO suck.

There is no reason in the world to invite a thane instead of a warrior, savage or berserker in a RvR group.

any old timer will gladly inform a newbie like you what it was like in the good old days when realms actualy relyed on skill to rvr and not numbers
and on a side not try and find out who was number 2 thane in rvr for so long untill he got bored with it and decided to role other chars and playthem in rvr untill the day thanes can and will come out as the class thay was supose to be.
and i do surgest you learn about your char a we bit better try looking in emain and see how meny thanes are in groups (other than guild groups)
soz im still loling at you for that remark i just cant belive you actualy think thane is a wanted char in emain groups omg that is o so sad all a thane can offer is guard and why take a thane when a warrior can offer same and do alot more damage

I have been both solo and in groups a few times despite beeing lvl 45-48 in RvR and never got any complaints about my performance, dropped enemies together with the main tanks, protected healers, disturbed enemy casters/healers and the times I have done that it has worked pretty ok with some 'newbie errors' included from my side.

I have less WS, so what? I land my fair share of hits. Less hp.. Had to run around some not to be hit. And with my spread out spec I could help healers, interrupt casters AND hit the assigned targets.. Offcourse I died alot but thats no biggie for me.

But the group had fun, I had fun and we got rps. I don't know how it will be at lvl 50 but I won't go around throwing shit on other peoples choice of class for the fun but instead try to make the best of what we have, that is the fun, no matter class.

People dont invite thanes to groups because people already know that thanes are gimps. Its no secret that thanes get groups from friends, pity or guilds. I used to run with my guild in rvr, we won some, we lost some no big deal. I protected the healers, interrupted, slammed and generaly run my ass off in each battle. It was that i felt i wasnt really contributing anything to my group. That my group would be better off if i had rolled a <insert mid class here>. Sure people might enjoy playing their thane, but i was tired of being a dead weight, carried around in rvr because others pitied me, and my class. The only reason i havent deleted yet is because i use /level a lot. /shrug

Well to be honest i must say this guild is a good thing, for all those thanes and rms out there who arnt needed in a grp where you need the best to compeate, because if you run out with lets say thane thane thane runemaster healer skald shaman healer,
you can't win vs vgn if they arn't playing really sooky.

tbh the 1.65 patch notes make me sick. They wanted to do something for thanes and ended up boosting their pve ability which is already quite good.

Thanes desperately need some kind of ability that helps a group in rvr, too bad mythic can't see the obvious faults of their own game.

I vote for a thane ablative chant.

if you can read again what he said you would understand better...... since he said nothin about thanes beeing bad solo, but yes they suck in RvR groups, and BTW duel = pure luck.....

You have seen some buffed thanes, taking down some unbuffed warriors and savages. Give the warriors and savages a str/con and see how high and mighty the thanes are then.
