New raid rules for any PvE raids lead by me

Personaly, i see no problems with level 48 and 49s getting level 51 stash. I mean, only saadyst was 49 forever, and even he got out of in in the long run ^_^

But i really think we ought to know these things B4 the raid or maybe even B4 the lotto starts.

I never would have kicked up a fuss about it if i knew that that was the rule.

Could you give me your interpretation of this rule? More specifically if/how it applies to a Spearo (Spear 50,Shield 42,blades 6).

I cant see any reason why a S/S paladin would use a twohander, but spearos do use shields and a 1hr, usualy a blade, often in pve we use S&S. Would I be excluded from blade / shield drops?

If there is a significant amount of people specced high in blade (using the example), I only see it fair that they lotto amongst themselves, so yes, I would seek to exclude people with only 6 blade.

If you participate on a raid up till the lotto and don't win anything, you will be allowed to add +10 to your roll on the next raid (and so on until you actually win something); the modifiers will be noted down in an Excel DB by the raid leaders

case by case basis, as some shields have naturalist kinda stats, some have a mixture, some have hero type stats etc.

bards and wardens kinda come into this as they can use small shields and spec a 1h weapon, but i believe if you give me a specific shield type i'll be able to give you a decision.

Saady, we should talk in game about shields! Everytime a shield drops in Galla I really feel like going LD for a week or 2. Shields are single most fought over drop in this game. Druids, wardens, bards, tanks, hell, sometimes even a caster has an opinion on what class should/should not be albe to lotto for it.

The other day, a shield dropped in Galla that had +shield +str +con and +emp???????
Now come on, wtf is that about? tanks don't use emp and wardens don't use +shield. (was a med shield I believe)

ok, I was wrong about those stats, the real stats are even more fked up!

I think they put ths shield in the game just to make my life harder at lotto times. It's a conspiracy I tell you!!!

Made up small shield:-

100%qual, +4 shield, +4 blade, +4parry, +40 hps, reactive DD. Usable by all.

Yeah, im trying to hightlight the ambiguaties here, so we have some ground rules that are a little more set in stone. My interpetation of a solid rule would be :-

Your class can use the item.
You have spent more than x spec points in all +stats that the sheild provides.
You class gains (or is supposed to) some effect from all the +ability scores on the item.

If no class fits this description then make two stats optional. So in the case of your emp / shield shield wardens, tanks, druids, bards could lotto for it (bards are supposed to be +emp secondary in design even if it does nothing).


Personally I recon thats a warden shield, +emp and size say warden to me, the +sheild is probably a mistake in the database. I would be interested to know if there where many wardens with +emp +sheild items out there.

btw, I know the Rog can come up with really stupid mixes, ive seen a lot of +stealth +charisma items which always cracks me up...

Imho: druid/warden shield Bcase: a tank would change it out when he got one without 22emp on it. ^_^

Cant see why any healers or bards would want it at all

warden shield imo, that shields proc goes off when someone hits it.

kama - lotto-able by wardens, heroes, BMs/champs that specced shield

boni - lott-able by classes that can use those, typically heroes, and yes, i'm aware that most heroes dont spec high blade, but they can use all those stats as opposed to a few.

When it dropped, I called it a warden shield, druids use small, this is med.
The MAJORITY of the stats were warden stats, so I called it a warden a shield. Warden uses 3/4 stats on that shield, tank uses 2/4 stats.
That's how I call my items, who gets the MOST use out of it, i.e. who uses the most of the stats.

Surprisingly, I didn't get much bitching about that tho, maybe cuz it's a shitty drop anyways!
