Heres the new race stats for those that wanna know or can't be bothered to look at the Mythic site

Shar Stats:

Str - 60
Con - 80
Dex - 50
Qui - 50
Int - 60
Pie - 60
Emp - 60
Cha - 60

Frostalf Stats: (EDITED)

Str - 55
Con - 55
Dex - 55
Qui - 60
Int - 60
Pie - 75
Emp - 60
Cha - 60

Half-Ogre Stats:

Str - 90
Con - 70
Dex - 40
Qui - 40
Int - 60
Pie - 60
Emp - 60
Cha - 60

Nice to see that they realise Albion didn't want 3 Int high races and finally gave us the 2nd best warroir race. But now Mids have a caster race better than the Hibs? Shars will probably make very tough NS.

shar's can't be NS - they removed it (for the same reason they removed celt NS - they're just better than elf/luri NS's in every single way)

this is taken from daoc.catacombs

Q: What classes can the new races of Atlantis be?

A: Remember that we're still a month and a few days away from launching Trials of Atlantis, so this is subject to change. Right now, here's how things stand:

Frostalf: Thane, Healer, Runemaster, Spiritmaster, Shaman
Shar: Hero, Champion, Blademaster, Ranger, Nightshade, Mentalist
Half Ogre: Armsman, Mercenary, Cabalist, Wizard, Theurgist, Sorceror

Shar stats = the same as a dwarf
Half Ogre = nearly the same as a troll
Frostalf = look like re-skined saracens

mythic really thought long and hard about the new races

Don't understand your Frostalf=Saracen comparison.

Frostalf=Lower Dex+Quick, Much Higher Piety.

Seems pretty different to me

Now, correct me if i'm wrong but i've read everywhere the half ogre was supposed to be high int race ? at least 70?

anyway 90 70 40 40 is like a troll if u ask me wich is good for albion :)

half ogre will make great armsman and slash merc.

giving half-ogers high Int would of made the race totally useless as there is no albion class that needs high Str and Int.

I think mids got the best deal, all the Frostalfs class options make use of Pie, and they now have a more powerful caster than the Hibs.

Half oger will probably make Highlanders a bit redundent for tanks, at least we get harder mercs.

dex > pie, so would rather take a kobbie than a frostalf tbh

heh

in summary mids got a better casterrace than hibbis, dont forget the extra 5% resists they most likely will have.

albs got a better tankrace than hibbis since firbs have 70emp as is and 5% extra resists.

hmm.. great.

so, albions new 'warrior' (eg. high str+con) will be able to play all the casters... but not a hybrid?

yes, i am psychic
no, no autographs

thats because brit sara inconnu are all reasonably balanced races for infils, whereas shar nightshades would generally just make most current NS want to race respec.
An assassin with 80 con?

ok well the shar i can understand 80 con for an assassin class is a bit much but celts are the same stats as britons , and they said on pendragon that blade celt nightshades were overpowered

Specifically what happened is that existing nightshades complained about it, because it would mean they were no longer the uberest they could be. Mythic caved to the existing NSs and cancelled celt shades. The shar fiasco was basically a rerun of the celt incident.

I don't think anyone outside the hib shade community cared much either way.

Assassins = irrelevant to anyone with a group.
