It's definetly a driver file causing it, use driver cleaner 3 in safe mode then install a new driver freshly perhaps an old file is still on your pc that's causing conflicts with your new driver files. But nv files=driver files for nvidia that's for sure and driver cleaner 3 will erase them all so you can try from fresh with a new driver.

1.Go to control panel, then system, hardware, device manager, then click on display adapters on that list.Rightclick the gfx card it says below display adapters when you click on it then un-install.

2.Reboot pc and start in safe mode, use driver cleaner 3.

3.Reboot pc into normal mode, download this and install it: http://www.nvidia.com/object/winxp_2k_81.94.html

4.Reboot pc again and it should cause no problems as all your old driver files will be erased thus causing no conflicts with other nvidia files.Your new driver should be working fine too.(though i haven't tested this one)

If this somehow doesn't work you may of did it wrong so carefully read these steps, but if you have done perfectly correctly and it doesn't work i'll be baffled as it's an nvidia file causing the problem.

The file nv4_disp.dll is not digitally signed, which means that it has not been tested by Microsoft's Windows Hardware Quality Labs (WHQL). You may be able to get a WHQL logo'd driver from the hardware manufacturer.

according to dxdiag

Whenever I get BSOD I use safe mode, then system restore back a while and it seems to be okay.

Jenifer,

I suggest you do those 4 steps with different driver version until you find one that works stable.
